PROWORDS, is short for (PRO)cedure words and are commonly accepted words used in two way point-to-point radio communications, especially in a medium where a signal maybe corrupted and where it may be difficult to transmit at full strength.

McCloud (1970) was a Town Marshal who joins the New York Police Department as a transplant from New Mexico. Banacek (1972) was a wealthy Insurance Investigator, with a Polish-American background ,who solves cases for a percentage of the recovered property. Finally, Matlock (1986) was a Defense Attorney from Atlanta.
