- Captain Michael Quinn: Something's not sitting right. I know pilots. After you engage in aerial combat, nothing scares you.
- Dr. J. Allen Hynek: There's something I haven't told you.
- Captain Michael Quinn: What?
- Dr. J. Allen Hynek: About Fuller. This music they're all hearing. Well, Fuller heard it, too.
- Captain Michael Quinn: I know that already.
- Dr. J. Allen Hynek: Well, whatever it is, the Air Force tried to erase it from Fuller's mind. Now it appears they tried to do the same to all these guys. Every pilot who's made "contact."
- Captain Michael Quinn: Erase? How the hell would they even do that?
- Dr. J. Allen Hynek: I think I saw where they performed the procedure. A kind of hospital, like they one they were saying on my way home from Fargo.
- Captain Michael Quinn: When were you gonna tell me about this?
- Dr. J. Allen Hynek: Well, the thing is, there's actually more to it.
- Captain Michael Quinn: You've gotta be fucking kidding me.
- Lieutenant Henry Fuller: I wasn't trying to hurt your wife. You know that. Just my head, uh, gets scrambled sometimes. And I can't control it.
- Dr. J. Allen Hynek: Do you want to tell me about that?
- Lieutenant Henry Fuller: It's the program. It's what they do to you after it happens.
- Dr. J. Allen Hynek: I want to help you.
- Lieutenant Henry Fuller: There's nothing anyone can do.
- Dr. J. Allen Hynek: Look, I understand if they tried to erase your memories. It can make you think all kinds of crazy things.
- Lieutenant Henry Fuller: The government isn't trying to erase our minds. They're trying to use us.
- Dr. J. Allen Hynek: Use you for what?
- Lieutenant Henry Fuller: The encounters. We get messages. We're the antennas. And the military, they're using us to talk back. That way, we can be weapons. That's why I came back here. I wanted to burn it down so that they can't hurt anyone else.
- General James Harding: Professor, Fuller traveled a long way to get here. Are you're really telling me you don't know why?
- Dr. J. Allen Hynek: I'm as confused as you are.
- General James Harding: Could there have been anything you may have left out of your initial report? Anything at all?
- Dr. J. Allen Hynek: No. Nothing I can think of.
- Captain Michael Quinn: Well, the man you encountered is still out there. We don't believe you're in any danger, but as this is a government issue, we've decided not to involve local authorities. We appreciate your cooperation.
- Susie Miller: Of course. Anything we can do to be of help.
- General James Harding: I don't care if we have to drop a nuke on Indiana to take Fuller out. Do. Something.
- Joel Hynek: Is he gonna stay out there all night?
- Mimi Hynek: Joel, come away from there, please.
- Joel Hynek: He has a gun, right? Just in case something happens?
- Mimi Hynek: Nothing is gonna happen.
- Susie Miller: Forgive me for being forward, but is there a Mrs. Captain Michael Quinn?
- Captain Michael Quinn: No. No, there's not.
- Susie Miller: In that case, would it be okay if we went somewhere else to do the interview where we might be able to get a drink?
- Captain Michael Quinn: It's a little early for that, even by my standards.
