A pretty solid pilot here. Having seen Karl Pilkington on Derek and as the butt of jokes on The Ricky Gervais Show it is hard to imagine him as a lead, even if it is a stumbling buffoon, but he sort of pulled it off. We do need to see a supporting cast show up though. He needs someone to play off. His "inner self" will only work for so long, that can't carry every episode.
