Lily Brazier plays a similar role to the pushy mother in people just do nothing, this time its herself and not her daughter she is pushing. She seems to have put on two stone for this role and as a result looks like Peter Kay / Geraldine Mcqueen. I'm sure it it was necessary to do so. The premise of her reforming a band seems a bit lame as her delusion is too far fetched to be credible. If this was wound back a little, then the series would have more legs.

Stumbled on this by chance on bbc iplayer after seeing that 'Mich' from People Just Do Nothing wrote and starred. Love her. The trailers sold me. She is brilliant at playing the 'cringe' but oblivious character (I'd liken her to a female David Brent!), and this did not disappoint. Only criticism I would have is 4 episodes!? Too short! Really looking forward to the inevitable 2nd season/series. Mum pop is gonna be massive!!!
