1. The crew goes to a college festival 2. Al lays with a girl 3. Earn fights Tracy

Atlanta just does not miss. This episode was well structured - keeping the absurdist but a sharp social message with the pledge scene. This was possibly the most comical scene of season 2. The image of naked college men pledging under the confederate flag was just so hilarious. It makes me wonder what the South is truly like...

It also does not lose sight of its main conflict which is the tension between Al and Earn about Earn not being enough to be his manager. Earn probably isn't the best manager objectively. Everybody recognizes Paper Boi but the opportunities that he's been bringing has been subpar, like the college party. The end scene with Earn trying to fight Tracy was reminiscent of how Earn tried to race a football player after getting stunted in Episode 3 of season 2. Earn is obviously insecure about his relationship and the value he brings to Al and Al is pretty reasonable about it. I thought the emotional depth presented in this episode was well done. I also enjoyed the diverse music choices too. An episode with really nothing to complain about. Very solid.

one of Atlanta's best episodes

Warning: Spoilers
After finishing the series, I'm going back and watching the very best of Atlanta, and this one definitely ranks up there in the top 5. It combines all of Atlanta's strengths: ensemble cast, road trip from hell, surreality, emotional wallop.

Earn think he has a great opportunity for Paper Boi, which involves basically pimping him out to a silly college girl in a verrrry uncomfortable scene. The girl then feels like she owns Paper Boi, resulting in her acting out at a party, in a situation compounded by an idiot hanger-on named Tracy.

Everything goes south from there, in a rather literal sense, as the guys end up in a Confederate-themed frat house during a very uncomfortable naked pledge initiation ceremony.

No wonder Paper Boi decides the time is right to get rid of Earn and his alleged management abilities.

THERE IS A LOT OF CODED SHIRTS GOING ON HERE BUT THAT ASS WHOOPIN WAS VERY EXPLICIT! MOST TIMES THIS SHOW HAS ABSOLUTELY NO MEANING AND SEEMS LIKE THE SCENES ARE POINTLESS. BUT I THOROUGHLY ENJOYED EARN GETTING HIS ASS WHOOPED FOR BEING SUCH A LOSER AS A MANAGER. I LAUGHED MY ASS OFF!

RATING 9 OF 10 STARS.

Warning: Spoilers
It is evident that Earn is not cut out to be a manager for a rising rap star. Paper Boi needs better and firmer management. He hangs with the wrong type who always gets him into trouble.

This episode starts off slowly, takes a surreal left turn and finishes with some shocking brutality.

Earn has arranged for Al to play at a university in Georgia. It involves a road trip and Earn does not book hotel rooms but gets everyone to stay with a student who is a big Paper Boi fan. The student gig could be good for Al, it could provide him with a loyal fan base and lead to better things. The aftermath of the gig ends in chaos, the spurned fan throws a drink at Al, Tracy then goes to confront her.

It all leads to them be chased across the campus and they end up in a Frat House taking part in an initiation ceremony featuring some nude male students. Paper Boi is irritated that there is no weed and he tells Earn that he is thinking of getting another management team.

Earn realises he is on the way out and blames Tracy on the way back.

You feel sorry for Earn that his meal ticket might be coming to an end but he has not been a good manager with Paper Boi getting into scrapes time after time.
