The video of Billy Joel: Tell Her About It still entertains 40 years later

It was nearly 40 years ago that I first saw this particular video on "Friday Night Videos" on NBC. It takes place on the stage of "The Ed Sullivan Show" where Joel performs as "B. J. and the Affordables" with Rodney Dangerfield waiting for his turn backstage. Sullivan (actually Will Jordan), himself, mouths some of the lyrics as they're being performed. Also, Joel is also seen in various places while also on stage when scenes cut to various viewers watching either at home, a bar, or outside a window display of TVs. The colors pop out brightly the whole time and it's such infectious joy just watching it! This tune, as well as others in his album "An Innocent Man", was a tribute to the music he grew up with as this one was a fine celebration of the Motown sound of the '60s. In other words, this video Billy Joel: Tell Her About It really entertains especially at the end when Dangerfield lives up to his catch phrase "I don't get no respect!" P. S. The date printed at the beginning-July 31, 1963-can't be possible for when the show was broadcast since that day's a Wednesday and Sullivan always aired on a Sunday. Also, it's not logical for Rodney Dangerfield to be on the show at that time since he didn't make his debut until 1967.
