Fauna always had the feeling that she was followed around for years. It looks like Sepp was acting on behalf of Dr Hodel to do this. It is heavily implicated any crimes committed by Dr Hodel, Sepp assisted in it.

When Sepp attacks Fauna, this time he is going above his instructions. Jay comes to the rescue and Sepp lies dead.

The important part of the episode is art and drama meets up. Corinna Hodel-Huntington takes part in an avant garde art show which reflects upon death and mutilation. Jay also comes across Dr Hodel's surreal art work which reflects the condition of the corpse in the Black Dahlia murders.

I Am the Night would like skirt around art, fact and fiction. It just never rings true apart from the case there was a true life unsolved murder and some real life people.
