The movie tells two parallel stories: both of them are developed in the same place: a house. It's interesting the way Yui Kiyohara (Director) converges two scenes through the sound: in the first one there is the beach and we hear the sea, then this same sound continues in the next scene where there is a kitchen curtain moving likewise the waves due to the strong wind that enter through the window. The performances are splendid, every character is deep and enigmatic. The dialogues are filled of beautiful images, for example, when Seri (the 14 old girl) is walking by the beach with her classmate and they are talking about fireworks: each one has a different connotation for them.

There are many movies we are able to listen to the beautiful music' on it, however it was the first time for me to feel the "musical structure" and let me hear the "sound" on this masterpiece. On the last scene, the last "sound" is "c-sharp", same as the last sound(code) of Gustav Mahler(1860-1911) Symphony No.5 1st movement, which is followed by drastic 2nd movement. I'm looking forward to feeling the 'drastic' future of Director Kiyohara on the next masterpiece.
