Great story telling

Warning: Spoilers
A low budget gem, with a story to tell. Nancy dancing full of joy. Tim's heart held in the hands of a heartless cow. Jake's wisdom born of silent loss. This humane film may not have the gloss of a multi million dollar blockbuster, but the production makes up for it in so many other ways. Enjoy for what it is.

Deep but fun.. Very real... Except the length of Tim's hair changes from one. Scene to another... Sometimes from one minute to another.. It didn't distract me too. Much though.... Loved this film, its a right eye opener to real life situations.. Thankyou

Nicely filmed

I did like the quality of the filming, also the warm tint reminded me of the detectorists. I was confused how they stayed so clean, but a gentle journey through the life of a homeless man and a jilted man. I was a little confused over the plot at times, but there was enough daftness to keep me entertained.

Off the beaten track

Great film, slow, clever, great characters, sensitive to subject, non Hollywood. My independent type of entertainment

Meh

I really wanted to like it: I adore quirky little British independent films but...no, just didn't do it for me. No plot, which would have been okay if the characters' emotional stories had been engaging but they just seemed superficial. No real emotional impact, all surface. Even the amusing bits seemed too self-conscious, working too hard at being eccentric. It didn't make me feel enough and it didn't make me laugh enough.

I think it's a sad sign that what stood out most to me was how the heck did Tim's shirt stay so pristinely white and unwrinkled after living in it for ..days? ...weeks? And then, near the end, he leaves work, goes home, then to the bridge - and his fingernails are dirty? And why did they litter so much?!

If you want beautifully written, quirky little British stories try This Beautiful Fantastic, Tortoise in Love, or Dare To Be Wild.

An absolute gem of a movie !

Stumbled upon this late at night on Amazon Prime and what a treat. Two great characters and wonderful storytelling ! A great insight into an alternative way of living after life has dealt you a rough hand, I would take this over a Hollywood megabucks blockbuster any day of the week ! Beautifully filmed and totally believable, one of the best indies I've seen in a long while !
