The "production unit" of cast and crew totaled only seven people. They slept at the same cabin which served as the film's location, and for every scene needed to move their luggage and bedding out of sight.
The final shot of the film, showing the fatal sacrifice ritual in real-time, runs 2'38" and was captured in an unbroken take on the second attempt. Six blood rigs were prepared, so no more than six full attempts would be possible. It was scheduled for the first night of the weekend shooting schedule so that the crew could try again on the second night if necessary. Visual effects are used to mask two cuts within the shot that removed 16 seconds for pacing.
