Utter tosh - no mention of heavy Christian messaging in trailer
josephtyrrell18 February 2022
Unless you are paid up God Squad, definitely one to avoid. Starts off okay, but usual formulaic 'girls on summer camp' plot, then morphs into some kind of horrific hybrid of It's A Wonderful Life and a Bible Christian Centre promo. How it scores over 5 on IMDB is beyond me. My 2 start review hopefully can go someway to redress this fallacy.

Amazon Prime - what we're you thinking?

Dealing with grief
worldchangerheartmom15 December 2020
The characters in this movie are all trying to heal hurts in their lives. The steadfast faith, belief and support of Percy to each person was amazing to see.

This is a wholesome family movie with enough faith to make you grab some tissues as their past is dealt with

This one's ripe
aldiboronti22 August 2020
So ripe it stinks. Honestly who was this made for? Kids would be bored by it. Young adults wouldn't give it the time of day. Mature adults would see it for the tripe it is. I guess that leaves the senile and demented so it may have an audience there. Others will cross the road and politely ignore it as it shambles by.

Turn Off 20 Minutes In
ldjake2111 April 2024
Twenty minutes into this I turned it off in favor of 1987 Summer School. This is about a whiny feel sorry for me teen who misses her recently passed mother. She decides to go to camp for the summer instead of spending summer with aunt and her family, MMMMM! This movie definitely has Hallmark movie under tones along with the typical Hallmark terrible music soundtrack in the background. In looking at the scores its obvious whats going on. Some one gave ot a 1 and someone else felt they must then give a 10. I'm giving a 2 over a 1 only because I was grateful that Summer School was on at the same time.

Message of Kindness
thurow-9985330 October 2021
This was the debut for Tori Keeth. She hit a home run. Great acting and message. A tale of Kindness, forgiveness, Christian values and love. Tori got to display her singing skills also as a skit was put on by the camp. This movie sent a message to the viewer but it looks like the few who gave this such a low rating didn't get the message. I hope to see Tori in more roles. She gave an inspired performance.

I wish more movies were wholesome like this one
serettig4 July 2021
Liberal Hollywood creates movies and shows that force things I don't believe with on me. I just wish there were more Godly movies and options available like this one. Is it a corny script? Yes. Is it low budget acting? Yes.

However, I would watch this any day over what mainstream media puts out. Thank you for investing in making this movie. People out here do appreciate it!

Better than expected
frosta-5182715 May 2022
So let me get this straight out there I am not religious.

This film shows the typical trope of summer camp friendship formed over common background and activities, and yes it's a low budget film.

However that does not mean that it cannot be an amazing film about friendship, grief, forgiveness and moving on.

Percy is a likeable character from the start whom provides the key point in getting everyone together as much as possible, and providing the support each character needs to push past their barriers.

It is well worth the watch.

Ignore the Clichés
evpbus26 July 2022
Inspite of the clichés that kept adding up, I continued watching this movie, finding it a refreshing relief from the loud and mean movies we keep getting from Hollywood (the ones where everyone acts as if its normal to flaunt the sex and to use gutter language when talking with your parents or children.) The religious themes didn't slam me in the face but were more like an undercurrent. While ithe identity of the stranger was obvious halfway through the movie, still it was a pleasant experience. I was glad to see Mariette Hartley. What I can't figure out is why the actor who played the stranger was omitted from IMDb's listing of the cast.
