This story is beautifully filmed. Where There Is Darkness tells the heartbreaking story of Fr. Rene Robert who sincerely thought he was helping a recently released convict who was taking advantage of him. Fr. Rene's request that the death penalty never be used on anyone who might kill him brings mercy to the man he was trying to help as well as to that man's family and his own family and friends. See this to watch the drama unfold in finding out exactly what happened to Fr. Rene, the background of his killer Steven Murray, and the efforts made to have Fr. Rene's wishes fulfilled. I highly recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys crime drama as those who enjoy movies that give a deeper understanding to the human condition. So thankful that the filmmakers discovered Fr. Rene's story and published it in move form so that we could all learn about him.
