As someone who is a political junkie I loved both debates here not only because they kind of perfectly captured the absurdism of our current discourse, but they were genuinely funny.

The show is having a strong final season, the only stuff I dislike is Mike's story and role.

OMG, this series could end now, and this would still be the best season from the series. IMHO, some of the best conedy writing ever. I don't understand why more people are not talking about this show. :(

Some weak jokes and yet it's the best of the season

My overall rating of "Veep"'s Season 7: 5/10.

There are a lot of moments in this episode where the jokes are cringy and unfunny or the writing is stupid, but there are also some genuinely funny bits. Ultimately this episode just lands on that slight elevation in the season's middle, situated comfortably between the depressions of implausibly setting the events in motion in first episodes and implausibly resolving them in the final ones.
