The two leads -- Casey and Severide -- are great in this show when they're buddying (cigars on the "deck"). This episode features a Casey "going to help Severide" moment in a very-hazardous situation. Casey (Butch) coaxing Severide (Sundance) to jump into the river was genius. THIS is more like it and their bromance does carry the show.
Another terrific moment was Brett taking down Gerald's intruder and former friend; she really does a major Mamma-Bear take down and solves Gerald's problem handily. The actress Kara Kilmer is perfect for this role.
