Hey that's pretty good

I don't know where the hell this series came from, but it's actually pretty good. Reminds me of Borderlands and Back to the Future at the same time. Worth getting YouTube Red for? Couldn't say. Kat Dennings is awesome.

Trucking Hilarious

When I saw the trailer for this I thought it was funny enough. I ended up loving it. The plot is great. The show has its gut-busting hilarious moments, it has its sad/serious moments - all in one. The situations Dallas & Robo get themselves into are bizzare, unexpected and entertaining. Dennings and Cena make a fun unlikely pair (one being a human space trucker and the other an AI) and their line delivery adds immensely to the awesomeness of the show. 10 out of 10 would recommend this to someone to give it a try.

Fantastic Start!

Warning: Spoilers
What a pleasant surprise Dallas & Robo turned out to be! It tells a story of two best friends named (you guessed it) Dallas and Robo who traverse through space looking to save up enough money to buy back their stock car so they can race again. While doing this they get into some pretty wacky situations like going undercover, journeying to the moon to win a bet, fighting off cannibal bikers, conducting an interrogation to find out who the murder is, etc. All of this is very entertaining and by the end I was hooked. I really found myself feeling for the characters and even Dallas when she was kinda being an asshole and fired her whole team because she let her ego get in the way. Since this is animation, obviously the acting is through the voices and the two leads (Kat Dennings and John Cena) do a very good job at it. Also, a big round of applause goes to the creators Mike Roberts, Andy Sipes, and Matt Mariska. Hoping season 2 is just as great.

A delightful pair you never knew you needed!

Warning: Spoilers
John Cena and Kat Dennings in a show together? It almost feels like an alternate universe, but it isn't. These two are hilarious together. The show itself is amusing, witty and just overall a great time.

Dallas is a former stock car racer turned trucker. She's sassy, stands up for the people she cares about (namely Robo) and she seems like a great friend despite her big ego sometimes getting the best of her. In the first couple episodes the story is settling and you come to realize Dallas likes booze, is a sass-master, and isn't afraid to punch a guy. Later episodes, though, show that she is way more than that. Her layers peel back; she's really insecure about some things, she makes mistakes, she's not always tough, she gets scared and she can admit when she screws up. At the end of the day, Dallas is human just like the rest of us, but she always has her friends and her family's backs. Moonshiners never lose.

Robo is a sensitive AI. Even though he won't admit it, he is very much the sidekick. Robo is also not afraid to take on cannibal bikers, electrically charge himself up or go back in time to save the day for Dallas. They are a pretty tight-knit pair who keeps each other safe at all costs. When Dallas gets drunk before the day of the race and ends up in jail, Robo does what he has to do to keep her from royally messing up - even if that means telling Uncle Danny and Ellie she died to get them to come see her in jail. He is very caring. Something else about Robo is that he's into poetry which is something I hope they explore more in the next season.

Dallas & Robo was a 10/10 for me. The voice cast is spot on. It's entertaining, hilarious, at times sad, and sweet. Great show, give it a chance.

What A Ride

Warning: Spoilers
Dallas & Robo has sprinkles of Ricky and Morty and dashes of Futurama, but still remains its own identity. That's what attracted me so much. It isn't trying to be a copy and when you watch you find that it really isn't like the two other adult comedies I mentioned. I even got an Imdb just to review this awesome, kick-ass show.

I'll admit, the first couple episodes are okay. I did enjoy them (much like the rest), but once they get in that groove and start to establish the characters it really does start running and never stops right to the end.

Call me crazy, but my favorite character was the Woodsman. When we're first introduced to him he comes off as your typical jerk that likes to see Dallas fail miserably. At the end, however, a different side of him shows and he even goes as far as to help them when a cannibal biker in disguise sneaks onto the Georgia Overdrive. His character development was very impressive, one I definitely didn't see coming. When characters redeem themselves it is always such a good thing to see.

Carol the biker king was also a great character. She is voiced by Jane Lynch which is just a great choice for her. It fits right in. Carol is windy. She befriends Dallas, gets stabbed in the back by Dallas to have Dallas befriends her, and Carol ends up back-stabbing Dallas. By the end, she is hauled off to cannibal biker jail, but, if I know one thing about this character in the short time I've seen her, she'll be back with vengeance.

The two main characters are just as fantastic and really are able to hold their own. The chemistry between Kat Dennings and John Cena is one you wouldn't expect and I think that's part of the reason it works. They just know each other, If I didn't know any better I'd say they've been friends since forever. I guess they're just that good at their jobs. Dennings seems to mesh well with everyone she works with and that's her appeal. She brings sass to Dallas which is reminiscent to a certain Max Black which she portrayed on 2 Broke Girls. Don't be fooled, though, Dallas really isn't that much like Max. Yes, she does like to drink and have fun, but Dallas is more brash and once you get through more episodes you see Dallas evolving into a full round character of insecurities, doubts, mistakes, fears, and a lot of other things.

Another noteworthy thing is the amazing continuity. Everything is forecast and consistent... Amazing effort for a comedy. Makes it sharp and smart.

Overall, great series and I do hope to see more great things in following seasons.

This is from WWE? It's almost hard to believe they made something THIS good, yet here we are. Dallas & Robo is great, hilarious fun. There's never a dull moment with these two and every episode is just as good (if not better) than the next. Very impressed. This show may have just made me want to continue paying for Youtube Red.

Dallas & Robo

I actually watched the show. The people giving it a 3 or 5 seem to have only watched the first episode or are just giving it a bad rating because they don't like someone in it. I don't think that's fair, so I'm calling them out on it. Actually watch this. Trust me, it's a really good show. All the comments on Youtube Red are very positive and many people want a season 2. If you don't like someone in it, then simply don't watch it. Please don't ruin it for everyone else who loves it.
