The ameba story was very good, but again, Nic is looking less than smart. How do they create and develop a character like Nic as being strong and smart and caring and then write her stupid? Unforgivable. Worthwhile to stay w/ series for Hawkins et al MDs (Devon, Mina, AJ) as those are the characters who are consistently written to make sense and stay true.

This episode really needed a few more medical cases. It doesn't seem like this show can get the balance right. Some weeks they had too many that it was hard to keep track and others they don't have enough and have too many administrative stories.
Curious how the finale goes and if they can keep everyone in Season 2, but this wasn't the strongest buildup.
