Johannesburg: a city of lights and big dreams. Many survive as best they can, but other fall into the deeper pitfalls of life, homelessness, prostitution and drug abuse.
After orchestrating an attack on Sash for withholding Bra Laki's phone number, and Sash going back home, City decides that he too has had enough of life on the streets.
In anticipation of his mothers words in respect to his parents dismissal of him, Vuyo enters his mothers home with the hope that he will never leave again.
Vuyo and Sash are back on the streets, back smoking the drugs. Both outcast, none of the others want to hustle with them, or even share the same sleeping boxes. Life on the streets is lonely and empty without any friends or favor.
Finally, City goes to prison. His intention is to clean up his life and get it back on track, and show of support to his friends has everyone wanting to follow in his footsteps.
City has made it. A changed man, a role model to his peers. It is because of him that they now believe that they too can change, that they too can live normal lives.
The journey isn't over yet for City. In fact, it has only just begun. The Department of Correctional Services wants a complete turn around and rehabilitation for him, so they send him to SANCA Thembisile in Kwaggafontein.
Come rain come shine, the gang must hustle, but what for? This has gone on for too long and Vuyo has had it. Even though he has tried and failed before, he's not willing to give up.
Last time we heard from Vuyo it was as if the world was coming to an end. The faith that his friends and family had in him was about to be tested, once again. After all the promises he had made, he flipped the script on them.
