"Chicago Fire" When They See Us Coming (TV Episode 2018) Poster

Rachel Cerda: Agent Julia Cortes

Quotes

  • Agent Julia Cortes : The cautious play is to wait him out. He doesn't know we're here, and he can't stay in there forever.

Agent Scoville : Sure, he can. Where's he gotta be? He could sit in there for a year.

Agent Julia Cortes : But he won't. We bring in more manpower. We watch every exit around the clock.

Agent Scoville : We gotta go in, boss.

Agent Julia Cortes : It could get messy.

Agent Scoville : The longer we sit on our hands, the messier it gets. Right now, Becerra is barely settled. He has no idea we're onto him. We go in there, full throttle, and kick down the door before he has a chance to hunker down.

Special Agent Reardon : He's right. We have the element of surprise. We have to use it while we can.

Kelly Severide : What about the woman and the baby?

Matthew Casey : And all the other residents?

Special Agent Reardon : We planned for this kind of thing. This is what we do.

Wallace Boden : My men plan for every eventuality before we go into a fire. Things still go wrong. People die, especially if our emotions are clouding our judgment.

Agent Scoville : Yeah, well, this is an FBI operation. You don't get a vote.

Wallace Boden : Well, maybe I should. The FBI have made my firehouse complicit in this thing. If it goes south and people get hurt, we share the blame.

Matthew Casey : There is another way. We once responded to a fire inside Cook County Jail and got caught up in a riot. Inmates wanted to kill the sheriff's deputy, but we were able to sneak him out by disguising him as a firefighter. People trust firefighters. They lower the guard when they see us coming.
