Worth the Watch

Even though, as mentioned in other reviews, shootouts and hostage situations have been taken likely (i.e. Hostage Situation with the Pontiac Bandit), this episode differs.

This is an episode that touches on the effect of how others feel when their loved ones are in a highly intense situation. You see how everyone worries, especially because they can't get in touch with Rosa. All the things they do reflect what others may do while waiting to get news.

All in all, it's worth watching.

Heartwarming and captivating!

A very good episode.

Some seem to have been disappointed by the dramatic atmosphere that this episode spreads, but personally, I liked it. That the series shows us that it is not just humorous, but that it can sometimes be emotional and stressful, that pleases me a lot.

Precisely, if we dwell on the main story, I would say that it was probably one of the most captivating of the season. Of course, Rosa is expected to come out unscathed, since episodes often end without consequence, but I was still eager to see what happened. What I found successful is that despite this atmosphere, the writers still managed to place a few jokes to make the episode less heavy, and it doesn't seem forced! If I can complain about one element of this story, it's that I would have liked Rosa to tell a little about what had happened, instead of playing the "I don't want to talk about it" card.

The B-plot with Gina and Amy was good. I'd say out of all the side stories on the show, it definitely wasn't the best, but a few jokes still helped. The C-plot was also good to follow, without being excellent either.

A good episode, which stands out for its gripping main story, but also delivers a lot of emotions and keep it's touch of humor that we've been used to for 5 seasons already.

This one wasn't funny episode but it was so good and warm to watch. Everyone was worrying and that really happens in reality.

Heart touching episode

Warning: Spoilers
Brooklyn Nine Nine has been seeing subtle examples in being there for people, stressing on the importance of mental health and redefining the right way to do things in the midst of its cheesy comedy, and midly obvious moral messages. This episode took a more serious tone and showed how much the people on the squad love each other.

I loved the moment between Rosa, Amy and Gina.

I just have one complaint. Why is Jake the only one who hugs Rosa at the end? Boyle and Terry love her equally. And Holt too.

It was a good episode

This not just an episode, it's brilliant storytelling Ditching the overused lone-hero trope, it dives into a crisis through the collective lens of the squad. This approach is genius - you're right there with them, feeling every bit of the uncertainty and tension, but not seeing the full picture. It's this limited perspective that makes it so real and gripping. The episode is a rollercoaster of emotions, brilliantly executed without relying on flashy action scenes. Instead, it builds a deep, emotional connection with the characters, making their experiences resonate with you. It's this blend of realism and emotional depth that sets it apart, making it not just entertaining, but impactful. Other TV shows should definitely take a leaf out of this book. "Show Me Going" isn't just an episode; it's a masterclass in empathetic, edge-of-your-seat storytelling.

A good plot and good episode.

This episode has a good plot and story.

Show Me Going:

When the force gets a call on an active shooter in NY they all have to face the fact that there friend and coworker could lose her life.

This episode also has toilet malfunction and pizza slice which is good and fits this episode.

This was a good episode.

Warning: Spoilers
Brooklyn Nine Nine's fifth season has been up and down, and this one was somewhere in the middle. Not sure what they were going with as they had a really goofy (with lazy writing) cold open with Raymond wearing a hat, and then they turned into almost a very special episode with Rosa in potential danger.

Not sure what they were trying to accomplish, but this was a pretty mediocre episode.

Very mediocre

Really mediocre episode. Feels a little bit weird how worried they are for Rosa when they have all been involved in multiple shootouts before this. In the end I was just glad it was over tbh.

Dumbest episode in the series

Warning: Spoilers
I mean they try to take this hostage situation seriously when Jake was in a hostage situation with Gina even being involved just a season earlier. I forget the exact episode but it was during Christmas and Jake was losing it cause it was basically die hard but Boyle was the only one free to play McClane. I mean they had a civilian trying to use a hairspray as a flame thrower..... Boyle also beat the bad guys with little to no issue so Jake wanting to go help Rosa makes sense he could and has been in those situations time and time again in this show. I'm just upset with how this show is trying to make this situation serious for no real reason when if it was any other episode everyone would be cracking jokes all throughout the episode even when in face of danger. their episode about Terry being pulled over and harassed due to the cop's racism was better than this. it was serious but kept the show's overall funny tone so it's not like they don't know how to do episodes like this but this was a huge failure on the writers, producers, and director.
