...we get that disaster episode and after 15 years we know how Gibbs knows everything that's going on in the office! But I missed a pregnant woman giving birth and a guy in a white top crawling through ventilation shafts.

Great episode

I liked this episode. It was action packed and different. Well written too. The ending with Gibbs in the 'secret place' on the roof was a great add. The accidental blowing up of the lab was great as was Abby being totally unawares of what really happened. Senior was good and his selfless trade for himself instead of Abby with the gunman showed a less selfish side to him. Not sure if all the things that happened within MTAC would be quite true but its a TV show and it worked well. Ducky's book is going to be interesting, i do hope we get to hear about some of its content.

Very fun watch!

After "One man's trash" I thought was terrible, I expected to see a decent, fun NCIS that would turn my brains off and make me thrilled. "Death from above" did all of that quite surprisingly.

Let's start with positives.

. The story here is mostly compelling with very awesome action sequences, which I enjoyed a lot. The subplot with the team wondering who has a chair on the roof of NCIS, also had a charming touch with Gibbs being the owner of the spot. Senior Dinozzo is also back, which in my mind is not great (I am not a huge fan of the character), but at least the man is not as annoying as he once was.

But...

. The only real issue I had with this one (even though agreed: there is nothing that brand new here) is the fact that couple of twists are not so obvious as they should be.

Overall: Is "Death from above" great episode? No. Is it fun? Hell yes!!

Great episode

I soon as I saw the episode I knew at least one moron would leave a 1 star review because the episode was technologically 'accurate'. It's a TV show it's not supposed to be accurate it's meant to be entertaining, and it was.

Warning: Spoilers
Well, this episode was actually a little different. Instead of getting boring after 10 minutes this one got boring after 20 minutes.

Hostage episodes are a dime a dozen on these shows, but we've seen it done much better than here. Still, a solid all around episode.

This is the worse episode of NCIS in years

I'm fully aware you're in the process of destroying the show, but did you bring in the writers of Scorpion to fill in? Or sis your technical consultant quit?

The technical details of this episode were so far from reality, they were jarring. The thought that a simple power outage could lock people in rooms? Fire alarms that don't go off because the power is out? The two combined would be a death sentence for people in the building.

Even my tiny company had backup power on ALL of the network and phone infrastructure. The land line phones? Even in a two user office you have a power fial phone that works if the phone system goes down.

The servers that might lose all their files if you reset them, because everyone knows the US Government NEVER backs up their servers...like ever.

Come on guys, you're better than this...or are you.

Swing and a miss

Warning: Spoilers
This could have been as good as the "Inside Man" movie but the writers fell short. No surprise. Why the hell is DiNozzo Sr. Not escorted out immediately? Talk about liability issues! It only takes one small thing that is not believable to ruin an episode. Apparently Gibbs and Torres did not come up with a good plan to take out one of the bad guys when Torres poses as a janitor. Torres should have led the bad guy to Gibbs - not go for his gun in his desk right away. It doesn't make sense because Gibbs ALWAYS has a plan. Another negative, in terms of a one-hour show, we don't learn of the intention/motive of the bad guys until very late (40 minutes in). After the bad guys are neutralized, we see Bishop and Palmer blowing out a window in Abby's lab while she is sleeping in an autopsy storage drawer. Ridiculous. All the potential for a suspense thriller was flushed down the toilet.
