Get rid of the executive assistant director; she is a joke and so off the mark.

Ninguna Salida

Warning: Spoilers
Not as strong an episode as the first half, but this is still what NCIS: LA needs to be. Great action, tough situations that our heroes get caught up in.

The Mosley character probably should not be brought back. They don't really know what to do with her. Some weeks she follows the rules and sometimes she is a rebel. We need more consistency.

Good episode, like the cliffhanger, but I doubt any of the key four don't make it to Season 10.

Unpopular opinion I guess but I liked it

This might not have been their best season finale and there were some semi unbelievable parts, but show me a cop drama that doesn't? I still love the characters and I'm looking forward to the next season.

Get rid of that Mosley character
smeph1717 September 2018
I have come to enjoy watching NCIS: LA over the past 8 seasons even when there were characters brought in to cause friction in the team but this Mosley character is way beyond arrogant, selfish, a total bully, blackmailer & every other negative that you can think of to describe her.

If they keep her in the show past the 1st episode of season 10 then I will permanently give up ever watching this show ever again.

Whoever the writers are for this season, they need to be sacked & new writers brought in who can make this show good again.

Also, as one or more reviewers have previously stated before, I'm also not a fan of who Sam (Ll Cool J) has become this season after losing his wife at the end of last season. I can understand that he would be grieving the loss but who he became in the season finale was just totally unacceptable, fighting with his partner, Callen. Can they please let him go back to being the guy that he used to be.

Part 2 One of the Most Intense, Emotional and Heartbreaking Episodes EVER!!!
MovieTVRomanceFan18 June 2020
The first hour of the season 9 finale was just the beginning as of this episode, the team finally arrived in Mexico and their unsanctioned mission to rescue Mosley's son truly began. This episode was filled with serious heart stopping action as this was one of the most deadly and dangerous missions the team had ever faced.

The mission was near to impossible as the home of Spencer Williams was practically a fortress and with a corrupt general by his side, getting inside to rescue Mosley's son was going to be anything but easy. Aside from the rescue mission, the team were also trying to find Hidoko after she went missing after going ahead to Mexico by herself. Unfortunately the Mexico mission claimed its first victim as Hidoko had been severely tortured and burnt alive. Although I tried to stay hopeful since Hidoko's death wasn't officially confirmed until the season 10 premiere, it seemed pretty obvious she was gone for good. No one deserves to die the way she did, but I must say as tragic and brutal Hidoko's death was, it was unfortunately her own undoing due to her blind devotion, dedication and loyalty to Mosley that ultimately got her killed.

The ultimate showdown was unbelievably amazing as Sam and Callen raided the estate after Kensi was captured and it was one of the most amazing battle scenes ever seen on the show. It was all so exciting. Definitely one of the best ever showdowns in NCIS: Los Angeles. In regards to Deeks and Kensi, their relationship was unbelievably intense. The second hour was filled with such tension between them like nothing I have EVER seen before. After watching their huge fight/break up, I honestly didn't know if they could ever recover from what happened, leaving me completely and utterly heartbroken. Thankfully, there was still hope for Deeks and Kensi as despite his somewhat cold and stand-offish attitude towards her, Deeks showed he still loved Kensi with all his heart and when she was captured, he was more than ready to go and rescue her.

In the end the mission was a success as Mosely arrived in Mexico and was reunited with her son before they escaped. However, the said couldn't be said for the team as they made their escape, their SUV exploded after it was hit by a rocket launcher. It was one of the most shocking cliffhangers of all time and it was left unknown following he explosion if the team were dead or alive. Overall, the season 9 finale really left us with quite an impact as I was so distraught by everything that happened that I didn't watch a single episode of NCIS: Los Angeles throughout the entire summer of 2018. I just couldn't after everything that happened and it would only add to my heart break. In the end, I think there will be no other finale quite like this one and will always be one of NCIS: Los Angeles most intense and unbelievable episodes.

Mosley is awful
Saving2125 June 2020
This is the season 9 ending . Like most seasons ending our team is sent to somewhere to fight for their lives. Only this mission was wrong . Mosley is just the worst boss ever putting the lives of her team in danger and letting one agent killed .yes Hetty did it as well but she always always made sure that there will be plan and way to make her team safe.here it's just rushed , the character's reasoning didn't made any sense . Only Deeks was the smart one and that saying something.

Mosley is a liability.
fran-veal9 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Mosley's character is hit or miss with me, but there is NO WAY someone who had a child with an arms dealer could have ever, by any stretch of the imagination, become Assistant Director of NCIS or any other federal agency, She's what you call a liability. She's compromised. And no, you can't hide something that big. She would have been re-vetted with each promotion and the child and his parentage would have come out. The fact that his father had him in his custody would have been found out and she not only would have lost out on the promotion, she would have been dismissed..

I know the show can be a stretch, but this story arc had more holes than Swiss cheese.

Horrible horrible horrible
britineeng-2870721 May 2018
I love this show, but this new assistant deputy director Is HORRIBLE! Its hard to think that a government job Such as hers allows her to bully her subordinates like She does. I actually had to stop watching this episode Because of her demeaning matter. I hope they get rid Of her because she abso!utely ruins this show.

where are you hetty?
migas_mix31 May 2018
All the season were bad cause of that asst., but at least i thought hetty would get the strings and put her in her place. This episode was the opposite. The assist. bossed her out!! thats not the hetty we are used to. The only thing that will bring back the show is hetty doing the same as the other 8 seasons.

Pitiful writing, obnoxious characterization
dhmcgee30 May 2018
I hope CBS cancels the show after this episode. The writing for this season has gone from bad to pathetic as the scripts have incredibly weak and unbelievable parts for the female characters. The Mosley character has no redeeming qualities and is enough to get me and my wife to give up on the show. It's sad to see what was once a fun show go this bad.

Terrible
jduyrhfngj21 May 2018
I give Hollywood a lot of flexibility when it comes to "making up" storylines. But this one is just so far out there. Nothing in the two part season finale episodes is believable. I've always looked at NCIS LA as popcorn tv. I may sound like a hypocrite for watching something so unbelievable, and then complaining about it. However, I can live with the stretched plots, and do watch weekly. It's just that this storyline has suck to an all time low.

From Bad to Pathetic Warning: Spoilers
That's what happened between the previous episode and this one. Giving it one star is way more than it deserves, but that's the minimum rating allowed.

Hopefully Mosley is gone next season, maybe in jail for abuse of power and breaking a constitutional law or two? I don't follow the 'rumors' about anything coming out of Hollywood, so I don't know if there are any rumors about one or more of the regulars leaving the show. If the *ahem* cliff hanger explosion (which you could see coming from a mile away) means someone won't be coming back that's okay. This show can't get any lower than it went this season.

RUBBISH SHOW THIS TIME
carlstewart-2668323 May 2018
Chances of going deep into Mexico on such a flimsy idea is foolish and your show basically about abduction which a government agency would never do. keep it more real and get rid of actors based on affirmative action.

Time To Ride Off In The Sunset
YabbaDabbaDabba26 May 2018
I am sick and tired of the obnoxious bosses brought in to create controversy and discord when the latest writers are the bottom rung in writing talent. This Asst. Director is the worst example of this I have ever seen. But she has been successful in losing viewers so they are now totally safe to cancel without anyone caring or noticing. In reality the Asst. Director would have been suspended, pending firing, and brought up on federal charges with pending jail time. This finale in particular is embarrassing and ridiculous at the same time. How low can this show fall? It can't as it is below sea level now. Please go away, and maybe replace it with quality television such as reruns of "The Gong Show" or "HeeHaw."

Different show.

Warning: Spoilers
Another reviewer mentioned "popcorn TV" about NCIS LA and I pretty much agree - I watch it on weekday evenings when I want something light-hearted and not too taxing and usually enjoy it and don't care that it's not realistic. I haven't enjoyed all storylines this season, but this 2 episode finale has definitely hit a new low.

Here's my main issue: a big part of what usually makes NCIS LA enjoyable are the characters and their interactions, and its light comedy mood. Instead, here we had an ominous mood right from the start, and nothing was believable because the characters didn't act like themselves.

Mosley has been a bit ambivalent this season, but gradually warmed up to the team and showed herself to generally be a decent boss. Here she undergoes some sort of personality transplant and loses all ability for rational thought and is willing to break all rules and put everyone around her at risk. Next we've got Sam also acting uncharacteristically - he's acted rashly in past episodes, but when he had personal reasons to do so. Not here. Then Kensi and Deeks - while this had been developing, well actually this had been developing so why was Kensi so surprised? And Deeks's insistence and negative thoughts were just so heavy handed that they also felt out of character in spite of the previous episodes. Callen was probably the only one keeping in character - and we already had some sort of cliffhanger with Anna in the last ep. so I guess he'll get to live. Even Hetty was a bit out of sorts - she knows this can't end well, they all know it can't end well - so why are they going through with it anyway?

Then some inconsistencies in the story itself - much time gets devoted to "OMG Mosley has gone to Mexico - what stupid thing is she gonna do now?". But then the only thing we see her do in Mexico is being in that helicopter and collecting her son. Well worth the build up then...

I didn't mind the crazy "let's take the kid out on a horse" strategy - that's very much the kind of lighthearted nonsense that I expect from NCIS LA and which makes it entertaining. But all the ominous buildup towards the conclusion was so heavy-handed and at-odds with what the show's like usually.

Half expecting Deeks to wake up from this most dreadful nightmare for the start of season 10.

Love this show but it needs to correct its path

Warning: Spoilers
NCIS: LA is one of my favorite shows but this season hasn't been good. Mosely was getting better but after the finale I hope they write that character out. She's been insufferable but her actions in the finale were unforgivable. Please bring back the Sam we knew and loved. The Sam character has been a negative this season. Why is the show making him the main character, it's better as an ensemble. Sam has taken a stupid turn in the finale. Relationship with the bad girl, not caring about leaving his children orphaned...please bring back the original Sam. Worst mistake NCIS: LA made was to kill Michelle in last year's finale

Looked to me as if children had written. There is no team spirit as always. There are decisions and actions that make no sense. Shame as season ending was always great in this show.

To begin with, spoiler alert. I have to ask the question though. The general blows up the car at the end of the show when he has no idea of the kid is still with them?
