Creepy and well shot.

Warning: Spoilers
Episode 1 (4 out of 5 stars).

The season premier opens up with the paranoia and creepy and weird direction. The premise of a couple who hires a nanny to watch over the baby while the mother is going back to work. But the baby is not real and a lifelike doll. Tragedy is there with the couple. Which they are both trying to learn and grow. The nanny's behavior is also questionable. Which the guy notices she is treating the doll like an actual baby itself.

Great direction from M. Night Shyamalan. It is creepy. It is weird. But I will definitely stick around to see were it goes.

A good start

A great start to a show that well hopefully stick the landing because it's very hard to stick the landing with shows like this that are full of mystery and horror and are just flat out weird. Hopefully this show can keep me interested because it is so far.

Pretty good start and an Interesting premise

This show is right in M. Night Shyamalan's wheel house and his influence can be felt in a lot of aspects of the filmmaking and what this show is asking you to believe, which is in style with M Night and what he's good at and it helps that he is directing Tony Basgallop script. It's a good start but can't imagine it sustaining for 2 seasons

Leanne

An introduction about the TV show. I found it very good wnd intriguing. It have a lot of moments where we can feel uneasy or some strange situations. We know also more about dorothy about her tragic lost. Some strange signs too. Leanne is a little bit controversed and Sean is a little bit more mefiant than Leanne. The doll baby is a therappy for dorothy. It end on a strange situation where we want to see the next episode.

Reborn

Warning: Spoilers
One of Apple's most anticipated series. I definitely was drawn to the screen and the story, but I worry this is a show that will be weird for the sake of weird and not give us a true payoff. Time will tell, but definitely a decent launch.

Important FYI if you're thinking "This looks interesting"

Warning: Spoilers
By the end of the 3rd Season, you will still not have any answers to the questions the show keeps raising. NONE.

Every single "reveal" has a sliver of non-supernatural explanation. Does Leann have magic powers? I'd say there's a 99% Chance she does, HOWEVER there is always a tiny tiny doubt that could explain otherwise.

Also, NO Conversation you're hoping will finally happen ever happens. This is not "Leaving it to the viewer" to decide, the show's creator refuses to give answers solely to string the audience along to keep watching.

So I'll save you the 15 Hours of watching for now and maybe, MAYBE if something finally gets revealed by the end of Season 4 I'll delete this review.

As CREEPY as it is BORING !
Just-A-Girl-1410 August 2020
I was looking forward to watching this show. First episode is really creepy but also really boring. Nothing is actually happening until the last minute. The acting, direction and dialogue are all good but the characters are all crazy in their own way. The only "sane" person is the husband and I'm not even sure about him since he's letting this "thing" happening under his roof. Should be better ways to help his grieving wife accept the lost of their child than whatever this is. With that said, this is what makes the show so unique and interesting I just hope they really pick up the pace (and soon) otherwise the show is going to fall apart very quickly.
