This episode starts off by focusing on the efforts of the CATT team who have targeted a business known for being a place of loitering and violence. We get to see the freshly graduated Officer Dion Reed go on his first patrol. Meanwhile the court case involving the problematic local business is heard and decisions are made. Later on we hear about the Flint Officer's response to the 2016 Dallas police shooting & extra safety measures are taken. Officer Balasko continues to ponder her place in the world and we see her on a CATT mission and later respond to a more humorous criminal. Relationships are examined & Officer Frost has to deal with a tragedy. The episode concludes with a look at officer safety in light of the police shootings and national attitudes toward police. We see officers assess threats and respond by being better prepared. Finally, we hear from some of the officers' spouses who voice their concerns and shed light on what it means to be the wife or girlfriend of a police officer. This is an excellent episode that asks what the responsibilities of business owners are to ensure the safety of their premises and where police are required to ensure that the location remains safe and secure. We also get a better understanding of what police have to deal with everyday. They have their own matters to be concerned about, followed by their jobs in the community and added to that they must contend with national attitudes towards police. This triple-decker stress sandwich must make officer's jobs even more difficult than they already are.
