In May 1942 FDR is informed of the impending Japanese attack on Midway. A 5-star general, presumably George Marshall, is with FDR. The 5-star rank was not created until December 1944.
While it was Patton's troops who first encountered the first Concentration Camp, it was General Eisenhower -- not Patton -- who ordered that all the local German citizens be forced to tour the camp and view the horrors.
