The title here "The Lonely Island Feat. Justin Timberlake: Dick in a Box" includes the name of the performers and of the song in these slightly under 3 minutes. This was made back in 2006, so it is far from new, but still a bit of a classic, well for SNL and Lonely Island standards I suppose. I honestly am not a fan of said band at all and find most of the other stuff they do really unfunny and not good enough for a (music) video. But this one here somewhat is. Sure Justin Timberlake certainly helps matters and we don't have to hear Samberg hum from start to finish. And the tune is kinda catchy, there is no denying. Also seeing them taken away by the police officers, still with their presents wrapped around their dicks, was pretty hilarious and they should have elaborated more on these scenes than on those that feature Rudolph (slightly attractive looking for the very first time) and Wiig, even if I can see why they wanted to make the opposing parallel between the seemingly romantic looks with the dinner, candles and roses and the obscenity of the lyrics. It also works the first time they mention the D in the box. Oh yeah, there is a censored and an uncensored version out there, I watched the former, but it is still pretty harmless, some slight difference in lyrics I believe. Nonetheless at the end it almost gets a bit repetitive, so another minute may have been too much, but the way it actually turned out it was on the funny side and I think this is the first time I give a Lonely Island project a thumbs-up and positive recommendation.
