Parlando Dei Morti: A Conversation with Nicolas Winding Refn (2016)
*** (out of 4)
This eight-minute interview with Nicolas Winding Refn can be found on the Italian release of DAWN OF THE DEAD. He talks about his appreciation of the film, which includes how George A. Romero worked politics into the film and what in the film worked for him. He also talks about the Romero cut of the picture as well as the European version from Dario Argento. He has some interesting thoughts on both versions and talks about what it's like to be around Argento. There's certainly nothing ground-breaking in this conversation but if you're a fan of the film and of Refn then you'll enjoy hearing his thoughts. I guess being a fan of movies like this you always enjoy seeing what other people think and on that level this featurette works.
