  Lori Spengler : She finally rolls in...

  Tree Gelbman : Uh, Lori, hi.

  Lori Spengler : [chuckles, noticing Tree's dishevelled appearance]  Big night?

  Tree Gelbman : [grunts]  You could say that. Um, look, Lori, I...

  Tree Gelbman : It's good to see you.

  Lori Spengler : [chuckles, puzzled]  Wha...? It's good to see you, too, Tree.

  [while Tree fumbles for words, something catches Lori's attention, and her smile fades. Tree follows her gaze and sees Gregory leaning on his car, looks annoyed. Lori sighs sadly and lowers her eyes] 

  Tree Gelbman : He's not worth it. I mean, trust me. I've been involved with a married guy. I know what it's like living a double life. Always feeling like shit about yourself. But it's never too late to change. Someone once told me that "every day is a chance to be someone better." Maybe this is your day.

  [Lori listens to Tree intently] 

  Lori Spengler : [smiles]  Okay. Thank you.

  [Tree hugs Lori. She feels bad for killing her in the original dimension, even though it was of self-defence. She has grown to like Lori in the past weeks she spent in this dimension, and hopes she can save her] 

  Tree Gelbman : Take care of yourself.

  [Tree leaves. Lori sighs, then goes to the hospital. Tree enters the sorority house and heads for Danielle's room. She knocks on the door, but no one answers. She enters the room and sees Danielle dressed in a nightgown and a robe] 

  Danielle Bouseman : [surprised]  Tree...

  Tree Gelbman : Hey. Um... look, Danielle, I feel really bad. I've totally been misjudging you, and it's completely on me. I am so sorry that I've, like, made this...

  [suddenly, Nick comes out of the bathroom, wears only a towel] 

  Nick Sims : [smiles]  Nice... three-way.

  [Tree realizes that Danielle cheats on Carter. She muses that maybe Danielle is not much better than the selfish bitch she is in the original dimension] 

  Danielle Bouseman : [embarrassed]  He's kidding.

  Nick Sims : No, I'm-I'm not.

  Danielle Bouseman : Nick's, um, shower was broken, so I said he could use mine. Right, Nick?

  [naturally, Tree does not believe this lame excuse. Nick is so stupid that he does not understand what Danielle meant] 

  Nick Sims : [puzzled]  My shower's fine.

  [Danielle gives Nick a murderous look] 

  Tree Gelbman : Right. Um, you know what? Never mind. Sorry for interrupting. Bye-ee.

  Nick Sims : Bye-ee.

  [Tree leaves, closing the door behind. Angrily, Danielle slaps on Nick's bare chest] 

  Nick Sims : Ow! What was that for?

  Danielle Bouseman : For being dumb as a rock. That's what.

  Nick Sims : Oh, really? How can a rock be dumb? They don't even have brains.

  [Danielle gapes at Nick's stupidity, and slaps him again] 

  Nick Sims : [annoyed]  Ouch!

• [at the hospital, Tree sneaks behind the security guard. She deftly takes his gun from the holster and points it at the guard] 

  Police Officer : [trembling with fear]  This is a really bad idea.

  Tree Gelbman : There's a killer on the loose here. Go get help.

  Police Officer : What?

  Tree Gelbman : Go!

  [the guard runs away. As soon as he is out of sight, he starts yelling] 

  Police Officer : She's got a gun! She's got a gun!

  [Tree cocks the security guard's gun and storms into the OR. Inside, Lori reads Tombs' medical record, failing to notice that Tombs takes a knife and is about to stab her] 

  Tree Gelbman : Lori, move!

  [Lori moves to the side. Tree shoots Tombs three times. The murderer is thrown against the wall and collapses on the floor, dead. Tree grabs Lori's hand] 

  Lori Spengler : [gasps]  What...?

  Tree Gelbman : Come on, we've got to move.

  [Tree pulls Lori to the door] 

  Lori Spengler : What's happening?

  Tree Gelbman : I'll explain later. Move!

  [meanwhile, at the lab, Ryan has Sissy nearly ready to operate. The lights at the campus go off and back again. Unfortunately, Dean Bronson figures he was distracted, and hurries back to the lab with two security guards. Samar and Dre push a couch against the lab doors] 

• [after killing Gregory, Tree hurries back to check on Lori. Lori pants heavily, pressing her palm on the wound. Carter helps her stand and supports her] 

  Carter Davis : Ready? Come on. There you go. I got you. I got you. All right. Yep.

  Tree Gelbman : [arrives]  Oh, my God. Are you okay?

  Lori Spengler : [smiles painfully]  I guess this is a pretty good place to get shot, huh?

  [two nurses arrive with a stretcher] 

  Carter Davis : I'll lift you up now, all right?

  [Carter lifts Lori and carefully places her on the stretcher] 

  Tree Gelbman : You're gonna be okay.

  Carter Davis : You're good. It's okay, it's okay. You're okay.

  [Tree recalls that in the original dimension, she had to kill Lori in self-defence. The thought saddens her] 

  Tree Gelbman : Lori, I... I'm so sorry.

  Lori Spengler : [confused]  For what? You just saved my life.

  Tree Gelbman : I just... I wish things could have been different.

  New Nurse : I'm sorry, but we need to move her.

  [the nurses take Lori away, leaving Tree and Carter alone] 

  New Nurse : [to Lori]  Hang in there, hon.

  Carter Davis : [to Tree]  Hey.

  Tree Gelbman : Hey.

  [Carter notices Tree's facial injuries. He touches her forehead] 

  Carter Davis : [worried]  You okay?

  Tree Gelbman : Uh, yeah. Yeah, I'm fine. I... I thought I told you to stay put.

  Carter Davis : [smiles]  Yeah, well... sorry, couldn't help myself.

  [they chuckle. Suddenly the lights flicker. Tree understands that she is about to be sent back to the original dimension] 

  Tree Gelbman : I think it's time. I hope you realize I'm only going back for one reason.

  [Carter bends to kiss Tree. At the lab, the guards finally manage to open the doors. Samar grabs a fire extinguisher and sprays Dean Bronson and the guards with CO2 powder, delaying them. Ryan looks at the computer screen: Sissy will operate within four seconds. Bronson tries to reach the wires, but Dre grabs his leg, slowing him down. One of the guards grabs Samar. As Bronson nearly reaches the wires, Sissy operates. At the hospital, Tree and Carter kiss. The next moment, Tree is transported back to the original dimension. She finds herself in the lab, near Carter, exactly as it was before she transported to the second dimension. Ryan, Samar, Dre and Bronson regain consciousness. No sign of Ryan #2] 

  Samar Ghosh : Oh, man...

  [Samar finds an empty bottle near him] 

  Samar Ghosh : [sighs]  My Yoo-hoo.

  [stunned, Bronson removes his glasses and looks around. Tree and Carter regain consciousness. Tree is unsure whether she made it back to the original dimension] 

  Tree Gelbman : [to Carter]  Danielle?

  Carter Davis : [puzzled]  Who?

  [Tree is relieved. She hugs Carter closely] 

  Tree Gelbman : Hi.

  Samar Ghosh : On, my god. I think I just shit my pants.

  [ending credits] 

• [Tree, aware that she is stuck again in a time-loop but unaware that she is in a different dimension, enters her sorority house to confront Lori. As she climbs the stairs, she expects to hear Danielle calling her "You sneaky little bitch", as happened every day in the previous film, but it does not happen] 

  Tree Gelbman : That's weird.

  Carter Davis : What?

  Tree Gelbman : She was supposed to be here.

  Carter Davis : Who?

  Tree Gelbman : Uh, never mind.

  [Tree, Carter and Ryan enter the room Tree shares with Lori. Lori sits at the desk, writing in a notebook] 

  Lori Spengler : She finally rolls in...

  Tree Gelbman : [sharply]  Where is it?

  Lori Spengler : Where's what? Oh, hey, Carter.

  Carter Davis : Hey.

  [Tree is confused that Lori and Carter know each other, but shrugs that off] 

  Tree Gelbman : Where's the cupcake?

  Lori Spengler : What cupcake?

  Tree Gelbman : [sharply]  The one you made for my birthday. The one you poisoned!

  [Lori has no idea what Tree is talking about] 

  Lori Spengler : [rolls her eyes humorously]  Oh, THAT cupcake.

  [Lori stands and packs her bag] 

  Tree Gelbman : I'm serious.

  Lori Spengler : Look, I don't know what stupid joke Danielle put you up to, but there's no cupcake. Sorry. All right, I got to go. I'm pulling a double for Jen. She's got the flu.

  [Lori closes her bag and hangs it on her shoulder] 

  Lori Spengler : Happy birthday, though. Toodles!

  [Lori leaves, without giving any cupcake to Tree. Tree is totally confused] 

  Tree Gelbman : Something's wrong.

  Carter Davis : What?

  Tree Gelbman : I don't know. It's different.

  [Tree, Ryan and Carter sit at the cafeteria. Tree explains to them everything that happened in the first dimension] 

• [Tree hears the news about Tombs. Fearing that Lori will free him, as happened in the original dimension, Tree hurries to the hospital. She arms herself with a firefighter axe. As she enters Tombs' room, a security guard steps out of the restroom. He draws his gun and points it at Tree] 

  Police Officer : Drop the axe.

  Tree Gelbman : Wait. I can expl...

  Police Officer : Drop it now!

  [Tree complies and raises her hands] 

  Tree Gelbman : He's escaped. He's gonna kill someone.

  Police Officer : Face up against the wall.

  Tree Gelbman : No, you don't understand. Lori let him...

  Police Officer : [firmly]  I'm not asking again!

  [Tree complies. The guard kicks the axe away and begins handcuffing Tree] 

  Tree Gelbman : Please listen to me. My roommate works here. She set Tombs free because she's trying to blame him, but she's gonna kill me.

  [the guard handcuffs Tree behind her back] 

  Police Officer : I don't know what kind of shit you're on, lady, but Tombs is down in the OR right now. A nurse just took him.

  Tree Gelbman : Was she tall, dark hair and a ponytail?

  Police Officer : [pulls Tree to the hallway]  Let's go.

  Tree Gelbman : I know you think I'm crazy, but you got to believe me!

  Police Officer : [uses his radio]  Dispatch, this is Officer Conroe. Have an 11-55 at the hospital. Need immediate assistance.

  [while Tree and the guard walk though the hallway, a Bayfield Baby masked person attacks the guard, repeatedly stabbing him with a knife. Tree screams in horror and runs to the elevator. As the murderer finishes off the guard, he goes after Tree. She presses the button with her cuffed hands] 

  Tree Gelbman : Come on...

  [nervously, Tree presses the button repeatedly. The masked murderer stands still, across the room. Tree is unsure whether it is Lori or Tombs] 

  Tree Gelbman : I know it's you, Lori!

  [the elevator doors open. Lori is inside. She is stunned to see Tree and the murderer. Quickly, she pulls Tree to safety, inside the elevator] 

  Lori Spengler : What? Oh, my God!

  [Lori presses repeatedly the button. They scream as the murderer runs to the elevator, but the doors close before he reaches] 

  Tree Gelbman : Oh, my God. I thought you were the...

  Lori Spengler : Are you okay? What the hell is going on? Who was that?

  Tree Gelbman : Tombs escaped. He's trying to kill me.

  Lori Spengler : [shakes her head]  No, Tree, that's not possible. I just took him down to the OR.

  [the lights go off. The elevator stops] 

  Tree Gelbman : What's happening?

  Lori Spengler : I-I don't know.

  [Lori presses the emergency button, but nothing happens] 

  Tree Gelbman : Oh, my God, he cut the power.

  Lori Spengler : [keeps pressing the emergency button]  Just stay calm. Just stay calm. Shit!

  [Lori thinks for a moment] 

  Lori Spengler : Okay. Come on.

  [Lori manages to open the doors. She steps outside of the elevator] 

  Lori Spengler : Come on.

  [Lori helps Tree to exit the elevator. They find themselves in a floor under construction] 

• [at the hospital, Tree and Lori escape from the Bayfield Baby masked murderer. While they are in the elevator, the lights suddenly go off. The elevator stops] 

  Tree Gelbman : What's happening?

  Lori Spengler : I-I don't know.

  [Lori presses the emergency button, but nothing happens] 

  Tree Gelbman : Oh, my God, he cut the power.

  Lori Spengler : [keeps pressing the emergency button]  Just stay calm. Just stay calm. Shit!

  [Lori thinks for a moment] 

  Lori Spengler : Okay. Come on.

  [Lori manages to open the doors. She steps outside of the elevator, which stopped slightly higher than the floor] 

  Lori Spengler : Come on.

  [Lori helps Tree to exit the elevator. They find themselves in a deserted floor under construction] 

  Tree Gelbman : Where the hell are we?

  Lori Spengler : This must be one of the floors under construction. Come on, there's an emergency exit on the other end.

  [they walk down the corridor. Tree notices a sledgehammer leaning up against a wall] 

  Tree Gelbman : Wait. Grab that.

  Lori Spengler : [picks the sledgehammer up]  Okay. Come on.

  [Tree and Lori continue walking down the corridor, Lori leading the way. Suddenly Tree detects a rustling and a movement behind the plastic drapes. Lori stops] 

  Tree Gelbman : What? Did you hear something?

  [Lori turns back to Tree, a painful expression on her face. She looks down to a knife sticking from the stomach. Blood starts to ooze from Lori's mouth and she collapses, dead. Tree gasps in horror. The murderer appears and picks up the sledgehammer] 

  Tree Gelbman : [enraged]  All right, asshole, let's see what you got!

  [the murderer swings the sledgehammer at Tree, but she evades the blow. The sledgehammer is buried in the wall. Before the murderer can get it loose, Tree runs away. She spots an emergency exit. As the murderer nearly catches her, Tree open the door with her right shoulder and moves out of the way. The momentum of the attack makes the murderer stumble through the door, and down the stairwell, dropping the sledghammer] 

  Tree Gelbman : Ha!

  [the murderer recovers faster than Tree expected, and climbs the stairs back] 

  Tree Gelbman : Shit!

  [Tree runs upstairs. The murderer picks up the sledgehammer and runs after her. Tree opens a door, and finds herself on the roof. She hurries away from the murderer, keeping an eye on him, but fails to notice she advances toward the edge of the roof until she falls screaming to her death. The day resets. As happened so many times before, Tree finds herself in Carter's bed] 

  Tree Gelbman : [chides herself for being so careless]  Rookie move, Tree.

  Carter Davis : Oh, hey. You're up.

  Tree Gelbman : What dimension am I in?

  Carter Davis : [puzzled]  Huh?

  Tree Gelbman : Danielle.

  Carter Davis : Uh, my girlfriend?

  Tree Gelbman : [grunts]  Same one.

• [Tree spots Lori and Dr. Gregory Butler. They appear to have a heated argument. As Lori starts walking away, Gregory grabs her hand] 

  Lori Spengler : [angrily shakes off Gregory's hand]  Don't touch me!

  Gregory Butler : Sorry.

  [Tree deduces that unlike in the original dimension, in this dimension Lori - not her - is Gregory's secret lover] 

• [after Tree kills Tombs, she and Lori run away] 

  Lori Spengler : Tree, will you please tell me what's going on?

  Tree Gelbman : At first, I thought he was trying to kill me, but it's you he's after.

  Lori Spengler : Who?

  [a person wearing a Bayfield Baby mask, armed with a knife, blocks their way. Tree, who has figured that person is the real murderer, points the gun at him] 

  Tree Gelbman : It's over, Gregory!

  [the masked person removes the mask, revealing himself to be Dr. Gregory Butler] 

  Lori Spengler : [shocked]  What? Why?

  Tree Gelbman : His wife found out about your affair...

  [a flashback: Gregory and his wife arguing] 

  Tree Gelbman : ...so he stole a page from your old playbook. He set Tombs free, knowing that everyone would think that he killed you...

  [a flashback: Tombs is transported to the OR. Gregory secretly places a Bayfield Baby mask on Tombs' face and a knife in his bed] 

  Tree Gelbman : ...and the secret of your affair would die with you.

  [Gregory claps his hands mockingly while he keeps advancing toward Tree and Lori] 

  Gregory Butler : Bravo. Well done, indeed.

  Tree Gelbman : [disdainfully]  Once a douchebag, always a douchebag.

  Gregory Butler : I'm sorry, do I know you?

  Tree Gelbman : Stay back, asshole!

  [Gregory ignores the warning and keeps walking toward them. Tree shoots near Gregory's feet. He stops and drops the knife. At the lab, the guards keep trying to open the doors by force]
