- TriviaTo the left of Shadwell's newspaper advert is an entry pleading for the return of "Uncle Terry's" lost hat. It's one of many little homages to Neil Gaiman's friend and Good Omens co-author Terry Pratchett, who died before this series could be made. The hat frequently appears in his official author photos and is almost as famous as he is. That hat can also be seen in Aziraphale's shop, awaiting the never-to-come return of its owner.
- GoofsWhen Virtue Device reads prophecy #2214 in Agnes Nutter's book, it says "In December 1980 an Apple will arise no man can eat. Invest thy money in Master Jobbes's machine and good fortune will tend thy days." Later, when various prophecies are appearing on screen as Arizaphale is reading the book, #2214 says "...Master Jobbes's thinking machine".

Evil is home
Good Omens is an ambitious novel that follows the beginning of man's journey to the end of the world. The story features celestial immortals, 17th-century witches, and a group of 11-year-old kids, exploring various worlds such as earth, heaven, hell, and a small village off the A40. The characters are diverse and offer a wide range of experiences for fans. Good Omens is a series that prioritizes comedy over seriousness, showcasing a desire for larks in various situations. The show features three well-honed comedy performances, fish-out-of-water comedy from the archangels, a Jeffrey Archer gag, and joy. The cast, including Miranda Richardson as Madame Tracy and Josie Lawrence as Agnes Nutter, is passionate about the show. David Tennant's commitment to the job is evident in his performance as Crowley, a rock-star demon who moves in an exaggerated sashay. Tennant has previously played louche in various films, such as Casanova in Russell T Davies' period drama and Vegas magician Peter Vincent in the 2011 Fright Night remake. Crowley's energy is evident in his ability to express his love for spooky and big spooky fans, making him a perfect fit for the role. The show's rich detail and commitment to humor make it a must-see for fans of the show. Episode two introduces two new central characters, Anathema Device (Adria Arjona) and Newton Pulsifer (Jack Whitehall), who are both witches and witchfinders involved in the end of the world. The episode revolves around Crowley and Aziraphale, who play detectives to track down the missing antichrist. Their bickering repartee keeps the story moving between the 17th century and the present, highlighting the crossover in good and evil. Crowley points out the hypocrisies in the angel's stance on guns, while Aziraphale tracks down the boy but lies about it, proving the show's demonic nature. The story expands, jokes are told, and fun is had, but the balance may not be perfect, as every character is not fully realized. The love in the show is a balm for the heart, making it a heartwarming and entertaining watch. Episode 2 of Good Omens follows head office's concerns about Crowley's progress with the Antichrist, who hides his suspicions about the wrong child for 11 years. Aziraphale also fears the boy's situation, lying to his superiors. With only 2 days left until Armageddon, the situation is uncertain. The story then shifts to a Witch Hunt for Agnes Nutter, whose prophecies continue to hold true to this day. Anathema, concerned about the connection to the Antichrist, decides to pack her belongings and head for Britain. In Good Omens, Crowley and Aziraphale are on a quest to find the real Antichrist. While playing British Inquisition, they encounter Anathema, a nun from 11 years ago, who tells them about a baby swap. Aziraphale, unaware of Adam's importance, is unaware of Anathema's presence. They encounter Anathema in the woods, prompting Aziraphale to offer her a lift. When she leaves her book of prophecies in the car, Aziraphale discovers it is intended for himself. As he reads the prophecy, he realizes he holds the key to finding out who the Antichrist is. The number 6 "threescore" 6 appears in the book, and he ponders if it's that simple. A voice answers, and he finds the right house for the Antichrist. Good Omens delivers an enjoyable episode, with the humor driving the episode forward and the relationship between Crowley and Aziraphale driving many of the best moments. The absurdist humor is what makes this show memorable, and the cleverly written narrative continues to impress.
