Quite good apart from unnecessary audio

Im actually enjoying this, but... the sex noises, what's all that about?? I have to turn my tv down, just unnecessary tbh, and I'm far from a prude, but I truly don't understand the need for the noises, just weird!!!

Interesting show except for shiva

The crime reporter shiva jahanshah, who appears in too many episodes of Sex, Lies, and Murder, should be replaced with someone less annoying! That is why the rating I give is minus 3 stars. She compares every single case in whatever episode she is on to a movie. Every case in every episode she is in. Come on! These are real people and real cases and she thinks they're all movies. Not all these situations can be like a movie she's watched. Give me a break. It makes her look ridiculous, ignorant, and plain stupid. She is indescribably annoying and I wish I knew which episodes she was in so I could skip them and go on to the ones that do Not have her in them. Either tell her to stop saying every case is like this movie or that movie, or replace her already.

Cheap, exploitative garbage

This is one of those shows where one wishes to have an option to give it a -10 rating. So bad, it is laughable.

Insanely sexist for a murder show?!
krystenocoffey24 October 2023
One of those redundant crime shows where they hammer every point to death, but you'll watch it because it's there. Be forwarned, one of the main journalists who narrates is super irritating, and this entire show is blatantly sexist. The episode where the victim is a mother and also an escort - you'd think it was filmed in 1985 the way she was treated and discussed. Women and men who have affairs are talked about completely differently - he "loves his wife and made a mistake," whereas she "is one of THOSE women who can never be happy and just want to ruin other people's lives, even after her death." What?! If I was the family member of a female victim presented on this show, I'd be very, very angry.

Some episodes contain inaccurate information.

The episodes where they depict murders that occurred in FL state that the state of FL does not have a parole system for life sentences. That is not true. FL judges and juries may give someone a life sentence, but that does NOT mean they can't get paroled. I was involved in a case where the person was sentenced to life and 12 years late the DA called and let me know he was coming up for a parole hearing. When I asked about why he was getting a parole hearing, I was told state law REQUIRES parole hearings. This show was from 2018 and my event happened in 2003. Facts of the cases may be true other than that statement. I haven't researched the individual cases showcased.

Redundancy

I like this show much. What I don't like is some things. I like the writer, He's hilarious. I fast forward through most of these psychiatrists feelings if you will and say the same thing that the writer said. I do like the blonde psychiatrist that on this show and others, is not redundant, and doesn't speak of how someone feels because no one knows how someone feels necessarily. Another really good hostess is the psychiatrist and that hosts deadly women. She is like the writer and that she has some of the funniest comments, right smack to the truth. This show ought to be making much money off of the advertising they do for movies they have at least four examples, I've seen more. For me that's a waste of time even though it is the same story and that people do watch shows like that in order to get ideas on how to create murder. You know what the show is doing, and that's making big bucks and then the show that only should be about 30 minutes, seems an hour and a half. As far as spoilers I say no. I'll mark it down, but the producers /directors do a great job making me sit on the edge of my seat while I get to go watch, not a minute, but 2 minutes of advertisements. I am a Hitchcock fan. Yes, He only had 1 minute ads. Since a 30 minute show, it was ok for the entertainment from Mr. Hitchcock. Then there was only one, instead of 5, and in certain channels, 16.
