Grifters prosper.
youssefkhouili12 February 2024
The first episode started by telling the story of how the Rajneesh movement took place in India and how it gained a reputation from all over the world, it depicted how disciples had fallen in love with Bhagwan's quite unorthodoxy ideas of combining spirituality with materialism, of a new combination of the west and east mentalities.

Bhagwan started to encounter some issues with Indian authorities and that led him to be on the lookout for another place, his spokesperson Sheela came up with a dreamy idea; going to the US, the land where dreams came true. Bhagwan was captivated by this phenomenal idea, after hearing that, he went through a state of seclusion and stopped talking with all of his disciples, and when his visa got accepted, he left India without saying goodbye and no one knew where was his whereabouts.

Humans are dumb and will give you everything if you can manipulate them well enough.

Money doesn't buy smarts. Facts thanks to those people who wasted so much trying to find happiness though a snake salesmen. The ultimate grifter.

Listen to him...

Always followed him for a long long time. He just shook the world by visiting his core. Nice series...Nice to know some of his patrons are still living hale and hearty. Osho was one of the blessed ones. The legacy continuous through his vision.

Warning: Spoilers
In typical muddled Netflix style, a bunch of Americans from Antelope, Oregon are introduced to narrate the beginning of their nightmare in 1980, when a notorious cult moved from India to the US, and then the focus shifts to 1968, the birth of Osho's movement - or whatever is supposed to be called. There follow lengthy and pretty boring interviews with Sannyasin - or whatever they're called - the fanatics, I mean, the enthusiastic cult members, who still get all excited talking about Osho 🙄

This second bunch of people, inclusive of narcissistic Sheena, who used to be Osho's spokeswoman, are extremely verbose. One would hope the documentary would move to whatever happed in Oregon, but nothing is told and the s**t still has to hit the fan. Unfortunately at this stage, it's just impossible to know what the fuss was about.
