Evil fruit!
BandSAboutMovies11 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Two college students find evidence connecting a story they are investigating for film class - all about possessed fruit - to a series of deaths. Things begin to spiral out of control when an unknown force watching them becomes angry in this found footage film.

I'm not really the correct audience for this genre, but this movie didn't really bother me, which is more than I can say for most found footage films. I've never seen a movie before where fruit turns people evil, so I can now safely say that I have checked that off my bucket list.

Hard to watch
docstrangeone9 September 2020
Acting was amateur, storyline weak and no character development. Was like 2 guys got a camera and decided to make a movie. After watching this, I felt like I took a beating...

Spoilers

Warning: Spoilers
There are so many things to complain about with this movie. I totally understand that it is a low budget but the acting and camerawork are not even up to low budget quality. The storyline could have really gone places, but it didn't. Makeup was good. The two guys were incredibly stupid. First off, there is no way in hell they can afford to rent a place like that as students, that was just irritating as could be. The stupidity came in how they handled things. Going to an orchard at night and hiking on a mountain at night with absolutely nothing to deal with possibilities. The only light they had was from the camera and a flare. How stupid are they? Even more stupid, hey, there is a berry that we found it has supposedly caused so many people to hallucinate and die, closing an entire project developing an entire orchard, so let's test it out and eat it. Just for that they deserved to die! There was zero research done on the fruit, no professionals spoken to, no doctor observing the experiment of eating the fruit. These guys are supposed to be in film school doing a documentary! Did they just crawl out of a cave, inherit a huge house then decide to be documentarians without ever seeing one. If you need something on to literally just have noise than put it in, if you actually want to watch something and keep your brain cells don't pick this movie.

You Have Better Things to do with Your Time

You have better things to do with your time. Like watching paint dry. I can't believe I just wasted 70 minutes of my life watching this no-budget, no-script pathetic excuse for a movie. Just goes to show you that any two idiots with a camera can have their "movie" distributed on Amazon.

2 of the most annoying people I've seen in any movie, so congrats on that I guess? Bad. Amateurish. Like 2 friends picked up a camera and decided to make a movie one night. One of them actually said "Deal-i-o."

If it looks like an orange, and smells like an orange...

It's probably a cursed fruit that causes hallucinations and demonic possession. This movie was bad, with a capital "B". The two actors have ZERO chemistry and no camera presence. They even acknowledge at the beginning of the film that they both say "umm" a lot, and they don't disappoint on that front. This is why it's always good to have a script before filming starts. The 70 minute run time meanders mindlessly from one improvised scene to the next. I feel like the $3000 budget was spent on the fake press conference at the beginning of the film, and not much else. Also, how is it almost summer and they acknowledge the fact that they still have multiple Christmas trees up??? I always find that annoying in low budget films.

Once again, I need the option to give a film a 0/10.

I could have made a better video with my son and his friends, except we don't have the $$ these entitled brats who made this had. Bad, bad, and badder.

Found Footage, Slow-Burning Horror

I liked this. Familiar formula and premise, but executed with genuine commitment. Some things explained, some not, but there was enough explanation not to feel frustrated at the end. I would buy this film.
