What started out as a slow episode was made for in the last five minutes. Its good to see Michael using his dad's tricks with the rubber suit. Gallant being tricked into letting his anger out and killing his grandmother. Miriam not being human. Michael weaving everyone around his fingers. I have no idea what's happening and I love it.

This season's giving me a nostalgic feeling so far. Kinda feeling like I'm watching a perfect mix up of Asylum and Coven. This episode was brilliantly written and put up together. Praise for Evan Peters and Joan Collins for this one.
Good and shocking twist.

4 out of 5 stars.
More mystery is revealed. And a shocking twist about one of the lady who is in control of the compound. Langdon motives and weird interviews with the people there are odd. Entertaining thats for sure.

I didn't expect to be seeing the snakes which I think were from Coven. And when they were being cooked they just came back to life. And also I did not expect to see the rubber man in this episode. And I just cannot believe that Evie is dead and was killed my her grandson, Mr.Gallent. And Mr.Gallent thought he was killing the rubber man, but was actually killing his grandmother. Also I hope she does come back to life. AHS always finds a way.
Loved this episode!

The Morning After: A Majestic and Beautifully Dark Dream by Jennifer Lynch
fourballoons10 October 2018
My God. I LITERALLY FELT EVERY SINGLE SECOND OF THIS ENTIRE EP. It was GLORIOUS, true arthouse. The intensity is engulfing. The entire episode was dripping with heat and sensuality -- you could cut it with a knife. Jennifer Lynch is an incredible director, you can tell she is a perfectionist. EVERYTHING is BEAUTIFUL, INTENSE and so meticulously done. This episode literally pulled me into a dark dream world that I don't EVER want to leave. I have NO idea what those other couple reviewers speak of, this was in NO way "slow", the pacing was actually utter perfection -- it lingered, it teased, it seduced, it humiliated, it enraptured -- and was EXTREMELY effective. I suppose if you have A.D.D or are used to fast-paced action films with explosions and all that crap, this moving art piece may be too much for you to digest. There were so many tiny nuances and details in this work to appreciate, I could go on forever. The writing/script for this ep was utterly flawless as well, mastercrafted. PLEASE GET JENNIFER LYNCH TO DIRECT MORE EPISODES, AHS! Screw B-Movie and TV horror, go arthouse horror all the way!
A Weird Death

Warning: Spoilers
This episode begins with Emily, she sees snakes when she wakes up. The group eat snake soup for diner. Snakes came back to life in the soup. Michael joins the group. Mr. Gallant has sex with Rubber Man. Gallant got tied up by Wilhelmina, he get some whip cracks from Miriam. Gallant killed Rubber Man, but he killed his grandmother Evie. Timothy shot down Miriam. Solid episode of American Horror Story Season 8, i'm not sure what to think about this Season so far. Let's see if it improves next episodes.
Better than episode 1

I gave the opening episode for the season a 3 out of 10 and this episode a 6 (6.5) out of 10 as it was an improvement on its previous episode.
The Morning After is more centered around horror rather than shock value like episode 1 tried to pull off. We start to get a taste of supernatural with a sense of magic looming around the compounds while Langdon is in the bunker. Not only are we treated with a creepy undertone we also get to see how our characters are developing.
Venable is more likeable in this episode than before and so is Mallory. Coco and Gallant still aren't as characters and Timothy Emily and Andre are all pretty stale so far. Lastly we have Evie and we get to see her true colors this episode making her two faced easily something to hate which is also why she seems to be a fan fave. She steals the show with her personality pretty easily.
A rendition or throwback to a season one character makes an appearance but he isn't exactly the same person underneath it all and that is quickly known right away when he appears.
The ending scene is something to shock and awe and leaves you asking for answers. This season might make up for the last two seasons but with a rocky start we'll see how much they can accomplish before the teased game changer with episode 6.

Do better or not at all

The first episode was interesting but judging from the second it has gone down the toilet. Characters are boring, story non existent just a lot of chatting about nothing.
The worst part of this show is because it is set in a bunker it is just one set piece and it really dull to watch, especially with the dark candle lighting. I feel claustrophobic just watching it. If they don't branch out in the next episode I'm switching off.
Because we eat up anything he craps out.

Warning: Spoilers
An incredibly steep decline after the first episode.
Once again with the bait & switch from Mr. Murphy. A rather interesting premiere immediately followed by a lackluster episode.
The single truly funny and likable character in Joan Collins' Evie is killed off in this episode. Every other character is completely boring, useless, or despicable. Not worth watching a whole 10 episode run full of unlikable stereotypes on a small, dimly lit set just to get maybe one or two episodes with our returning characters. Some crossover; we'll be lucky if we get anything more than a Queenie in Hotel level extended cameo from the Coven or Murder House residents. Waste of time. Jumping off this sinking ship early.
Still boring

The acting is good as always. Well, not from everyone. ( I mean why do they force us to watch Leslie Grossman? She's just as annoying as in the previous season.) The laptop in Langdon's room was not suitable for that atmosphere. And nothing really happened in this episode except the last 1 minute.
LGBT & feminist heaven.

So far disappointing plot - wise, but a cool twist in the last minutes of the episode that had me "whoa". I would LOVE more scenes like that instead of all the gay stuff and drama that populated the rest of the screen time.

Wait. What? The Morning After??? The title is certainly misleading because this ep. Occurs at LEAST 18 months after. Unless I just misinterpreted the moniker '18 Months Later' that was presented. Okay so -1 Star for that to begin.
Then, an official from the COOPERATIVE shows up and he apparently is there to evaluate this OUTPOST3 for people they want to move to a new facility. Apparently their other OUTPOSTS are getting raided and ransacked by some outside force or forces.
COOPERATING, is what is key. What we get next is a bunch of gay and feminist rhetoric. Even Peters experiences a moment with the man in the black latex suit from the first season. At least we get to the fact that a Vanderbilt in any form would be a disaster to help to propagate the human species. Andersen Cooper is great evidence of this.
Omg when they start talking about old Hardy Boys episodes, so awesome!!!
Okay I do love the music they end up playing in this Ep. +1 Star.
Oh no! Joan Collins only lasted 2 episodes???? What a waste!!! -1 Star.
And oh no! Kathy Bates is not human!!! 4/10.
