Writers trying to write about a life they clearly don't know.

I'm going to go on a rant here, stick with me. It may seem trivial but it's reminiscent of the series. S09E02 Lip asks for a torque wrench. He immediately takes said torque wrench and starts randomly cranking away on random parts of the bike. I know what a torque wrench is. They wrote the scene for people who know what a torque wrench is... then completely fumbled. This scene embodies the feeling I've had through the whole series. Out-of-Touch writers trying to write about a vague memory of what real work was. If one single person on that staff knew what a torque wrench was they would have asked lip to take one second during his lines to at least check the setting on the handle. Which is the entire point of a torque wrench. Which is reminiscent of the whole series. Pretty good writing but the authenticity is whack. Torque wrench example for the masses but just one case.

Mo White!

Warning: Spoilers
Shameless' second episode of the season turns out to be a good one as we set up a political repercussion for this cycle. This can be tiring, and we know there will be a liberal bias in the storytelling, but as long as it is funny that should resonate to both sides of the spectrum.

Good episode, we'll see where they go from here.

Not As Bad People Make It Out To Be

Mo White is Episode 2 Of Season 9 Of Shameless. This might be the worst episode of the series but it doesn't necessarily mean it's terrible on any accounts. This episode focused primarily on moving along the storylines we have known for the past season with Carl and his journey through military academy and now to West Point, Lip's struggle with his inner self along with Xan, Fiona and her landlord duties, Ian and his Gay Jesus act, Debbie and her progression towards caring for Franny and getting good pay for a welding job, Kevin and V's struggle with their kids and the bar, and Frank's antics that never stop. These storylines will always continue to move throughout this season and for the most part most of those storylines were progressed in this episode. If I had to rate this episode I would give it 8/10. Not as funny as would like but the episode was interesting enough to keep me entertained. That's what makes Shameless so great it doesn't need to be funny always to be good. Because of its well developed characters and great storylines, Shameless puts its self in a class above most tv shows today. I don't understand the 1 star reviews honestly it was good not great episode in a nutshell.

Fantastic episode and season

Frank's rally talks are hilarious and frightfully true

Massive props to the writers for being brave here, very edgy season that seems to be lost on alot of people... Perhaps they are SJWs and they see how their ians "movement" shows how they aren't in fact making the world a better place, they are making it worse

Really?

I wish Hollywood would recognize viewers don't want another show with the current divisive political issues intertwined into the plot. Stay out of politics and stick to entertaining or I'm turning the channel.

Unfunny

Warning: Spoilers
I laughed just once throughout the entire episode... And it was the post-credit scene with Carl and everyone yelling at him from the house. Ok, it was more of a brief chuckle than a laugh. Seriously, this episode was the worst of them all I think. Boring and unfunny, and the part with the dogs being gassed was just distasteful. And yes, this show is BASED on being distasteful, but it always did it for a laugh. There's nothing funny about people bringing their dogs to be euthanised and not knowing that they are being gassed with car exhaust. I'm pretty sure 99% of people stay with their loved pet through the process, ESPECIALLY A SERVICE DOG AND IT'S HUMAN. No, it's this show that should be gassed and euthanised. And I'm a huge fan.
