- Guy shows up to return Sam's briefcase only to learn he has company. Meanwhile, the mother-daughter duo begins their slow journey through the desert.
- The chickeraffe wreaks havoc in Guy's hotel room, bursting pipes, tearing up the furniture and destroying every priceless vase. Guy tries to keep the bellhop from seeing the animal, but the bellhop sings Guy a complimentary lullaby, finally calming the chickeraffe down. Guy thanks the bellhop and tips him. Over in his home, a Winnebago on cinderblocks, Sam thinks he has the chickeraffe, but all he finds in the briefcase are broken pieces of metal, the ruins of Guy's invention. The next day Guy calls Donna, the diner waitress, to ask her for Sam I-Am's address, and he gives it to her. Gluntz and McWinkle track Sam I-Am's movements to the diner. McWinkle tells Gluntz he has the receipt for the kite, snorkel pole-vault store Sam was at. Guy arrives at Sam's home with the chickeraffe, but the BADGUYS arrive and press Guy for questions. They corner him on a cliff, but Sam shows up and Guy gets in the car with them. The two race off into the desert. In the desert, Sam explains that he's rescuing the chickeraffe while the BADGUYS want to sell it to a collector. Guy tells Sam he's going to Meepville to be a paint watcher. Sam tries to be interested, but his tone instead comes off as sarcastic and judgmental. Feeling judged anyway, Guy insists on being let out of the car. Sam finally agrees, lets Guy out of the car and drives off. Trying to hitchhike, Guy sees another car coming, but it's Michellee, the woman who saw him fail at the invention trials, traveling with her daughter EB. EB sees Guy and wants to let him in the car, but Michellee, not seeing him, thinks he's a deranged lunatic and drives off, leaving Guy stranded. Still trying to hitchhike, Guy begins to hallucinate from the heat. The road appears to boil and curve up over him. He feels what he thinks is rain but it's green eggs above him. However, Guy's hallucination ends when Sam appears back at Guy's side and invites him into the car. Knowing that he's going to be riding shotgun with a lunatic but not wanting to risk another hallucination, Guy gets in the car. As they drive along, Sam offers Guy green eggs and ham for the road, but Guy refuses. Sam accepts Guy's refusal but leaves them out on the seat in case he changes his mind. Exhausted from his ordeal, Guy goes to sleep. When he wakes up, Sam is out of the car, riding alongside it on the chickeraffe, and tries to warn Guy that the car is heading for a cliff. The car plummets towards a lake.
