I'm much of a drama person, but I think I'll have to say that If you miss this drama, you just don't miss a drama but a masterpiece.

Promotion Party and Ji-an's Absence

The female bar owner is depressed in bed when the elderly mom comes in. The owner says depressingly that her body doesn't have energy to change clothes and the elderly woman tells her not to say that in front of her.
Dong-hoon texts the monk asking about the forecast for those born in his year being bad this year. The monk is busy meditating.
Bar owner tells Dong-hoon she saw Ji-an who stood by her for ten minutes then left. It sounded like she liked him and Dong-hoon does not say anything.
The chairman is furious that the upper management let Ji-an go without compassion or kindness. He wants to find her.
The document acknowledging Dong-hoon's promotion is in the hands of the CEO who needs to sign it.
The entire team screams with joy when they receive notice that Dong-hoon became director.
The two brothers rush through the door to tell elderly mom that Dong-hoon is no longer just a general manager but a director. The mother slaps her sons on the back out of joy and happiness, praising Dong-hoon.
There is a party at the bar and everyone is invited including Dong-hoon's wife. The mom expresses her gratitude towards the wife and the three brothers sit uncomfortably with the knowledge she had an affair.
Ji-an listens to the party on the phone at her new job in a manufacturing factory. It is females taking parts on to the line. The mom points out Dong-hoon's wife's thin neck that looks it could snap. Another thicker woman jokingly asks about her neck.
Ji-an whereabouts is asked and Dong-hoon is not sure. They joke of the kind of manager he is and that she did not like them. The bar owner says she said she liked the neighbourhood before she left and one man says she said she wants to get to our age so she can't dislike us.
Dong-hoon receives info from former director that he found out the suspect called Ji-an while running.
Dong-hoon and former director meet at a wiring tap service place. A man checks the phone and reveals Dong-hoon's phone was tapped.
CEO meets with Dong-hoon in an underground parking lot. Dong-hoon hits him a couple times. Dong-hoon yells at him asking what he did with Ji-an.
Dong-hoon goes back to the movie theatre and picks up the tapped phone. He calls out Ji-an's name and then says call me. She is listening and is shocked to hear that it sounds like he is speaking to her.
