With all the controversy surrounding this show, I'm really just wondering if it's all just propaganda hype? I'm not really into Soap Opera's - teen or otherwise - and that's apparently what this is. So, we have the main female lead who seems to be a "good" girl. I'm sorry but actual good girls don't seek to be bad girls. Good people who get mixed up in bad things don't typically seek it out. So, straight off: she's most definitely not a "good" anything. More like she's a pretender or just a regular person (the inbetweeners) bored with her life and she's looking for excitement.
The secondary lead bad girl: not actually a bad girl. Yes, she has a sex tape (who doesn't these days?) which, from what I gather: she didn't want released to the public based on her scene at the party near the end of the episode. There's also some dude whose mother died and he recently found out he has a wealthy father who never cared about him or his mother or something and he's supposed to be the "bad" boy but that character is just pathetically sad.
This first episode isn't bad, it's just boring. It moves quickly but that's mainly because of the ominous music playing building up to excitement that never really comes. I'll most likely watch the other five episodes but not in a bingy way and most likely when I'm bored.
