Pokemon Go is a title that took the mobile gaming industry by storm and was an instant hit among fans of the Japanese media franchise. The gameplay loop, which encouraged people to catch Pokémon by finding them in the real world, was a unique experience and a differentiator for the title.
Now, the title, which came out in 2016, has received a new update, which has become a talking point for game players. The new update has affected the player avatars in the game, and it suffices to say that players are dissatisfied with it.
Pokemon Go Players Believe That the Title’s Player Avatars Look Horrendous With New Update The title is still relevant after eight years of release.

People might not even admit that Ark: The Animated Series is an Isekai. Mostly because people are ashamed of Isekai’s association with the anime fandom. For those who do not know what it means, isekai is a genre typically found in anime that shows the story of a character who gets magically transported to another world. This other world usually comprises medieval themes, mythical creatures, and magic. Although this series is based on the survival video game Ark: Survival Evolved, I think watching this adaptation is quite a trip. I haven’t played this game yet, but I have played Conan Exiles, and again, I can’t help but draw parallels between the two worlds. But again, for me at least, Isekai is a guilty pleasure.

“House of the Dragon” Releases Dueling Season 2 Trailers
Are you Team Green or Team Black?
HBO has released two new trailers for the upcoming second season of its “Game of Thrones” spinoff series “House of the Dragon.”
The new trailers, which set the series’ return on the cabler and Max late this spring, respectively focus on Princess Rhaenrya Targaryen (played by Emma D’Arcy), Prince Daemon (Matt Smith), and their black faction, and on Alicent Hightower’s (Olivia Cooke) green King’s Landing team of Alicent.
The fantasy drama series, based on author George R.R. Martin’s book “Fire & Blood,” details the history of House Targaryen nearly 200 years before the events of “Game of Thrones.” Season 1 followed Rhaenyra in her fight to be named the chosen heir of King Viserys I (Patty Considine) and the lead-up to the Dance of the Dragons.

We’re back in December 2020, and Paramount announces a new dinosaur-themed animated series titled Ark: The Animated Series. The series was announced via a trailer during the 2020 Video Game Awards, also revealing that the series would be featuring a star-filled cast that would include Gerard Butler, David Tennant, Michelle Yeoh, Jeffrey Wright, Zahn McClarnon, Elliot Page, Karl Urban, Malcolm McDowell, Alan Tudyk, Russell Crowe, and Vin Diesel, all of whom will also serve as the executive producers of the series.
The series was based on the Ark: Survival Evolved video game, with the game’s creators Jeremy Stieglitz and Jesse Rapczak serving as the creators of the series as well. In June 2022, as the series entered post-production, it was revealed that both Monica Bellucci and Dee Bradley Baker had joined the series as well, with Gareth Coker as the composer. And that was more or less it for a while.

Paramount+ has unveiled the first six episodes of Ark: The Animated Series, which are now streaming on the service as of today. But the first season won’t be limited to just this batch, as a second part to the season will host seven more episodes, although the release date for those has yet to be announced.
While I haven’t played the source video game (Ark: Survival Evolved), the voice cast for Ark: The Animated Series definitely piques interest, as it hosts Oscar winners, fan favorites and even Doctors…The partial cast list includes Madeleine Madden, Michelle Yeoh, Russell Crowe, Gerard Butler, Jeffrey Wright, David Tennant, Elliot Page, Vin Diesel, Karl Urban, and more.
While that is a seriously impressive cast, perhaps the biggest draw for some is that Ark will be scored by the game’s composer Gareth Coker, who also provided the gorgeous music for Ori and...

Palworld has taken the world by storm with its open world, familiar mechanics, and survival gameplay. Similar success was seen with Nintendo’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons which took advantage of the condition of the world by playing in doors prompting consumers to go and buy the game, a year later, a Japanese developer called Pocket Pair unveiled their new game that bears a striking resemblance with Nintendo’s Pokémon and became the game that fans have been begging for years.
The success is evident with almost 25 million players and sold 15 million copies on Steam alone, the developers certainly left a mark on the game space and perhaps secured their seat for years to come. Dubbed ‘Pokémon with guns’, this prompted Nintendo to respond as the Pokémon Company acknowledges the similarities.

Since we last discussed the shocking early success of developer Pocketpair’s recently released Palworld, the game has gone on to achieve numbers you typically only see from new releases in gaming’s biggest Triple-a franchises.
Not only has Palworld sold over six million copies since its release (not counting those playing the game via Xbox Game Pass), but it attracted over 1.8 million concurrent Steam players over the weekend. For context, that is the second-highest recorded concurrent player count for any game in Steam history.
Yet, Palworld isn’t quite the darling of the industry that you’d think it would be given that it’s a historic success from a small studio. Instead, Palworld has become one of the most debated titles in recent memory. A growing contingent of gamers popularly led by longtime Pokémon are arguing that Palworld is nothing but a shameless rip-off. Some of them are...

Developer Pocketpair’s Palworld is taking over the gaming world. Despite only officially being released earlier today, Palworld is one of the most viewed games on Twitch and has almost 400,000 concurrent players on Steam as of the time of this writing. That already stunning player count is made all the more impressive by the fact that Palworld is also available on Xbox and Xbox Game Pass. That means that the actual number of people currently playing the game is significantly higher than that. In fact, Pocketpair recently revealed that over 1,000,000 people have played some version of the game just eight hours after its official launch, and that number will almost certainly shoot up as we head into the weekend.
Never heard of Palworld? Don’t be surprised. Until now, the game has been a relatively obscure project that has lingered in Early Access. However, there is a good chance you...

In an unusually candid moment, Studio Wildcard’s co-founder has said that the servers underpinning Ark: Survival Ascended “run like ass.”
Revised survival game Ark: Survival Ascended has been greeted with mixed reviews since it launched into Early Access in late October, and even its developer, Studio Wildcard, seems open that there’s room for improvement.
As reported by Eurogamer, studio co-founder Jeremy Stieglitz has admitted that the game’s servers – in terms of their stability and speed – are “ass.”
“The servers are ass,” Stieglitz said during the Extra Life Charity Stream on Twitch. “They run like ass, and their stability is ass.”
First announced in April, Ark: Survival Ascended is a current-gen reworking of Studio Wildcard’s own hit, Ark: Survival Evolved. Shifting platforms to Unreal Engine 5, Survival Ascended was delayed several times – apparently due to the challenges of working with Epic’s new engine – and also sparked a bit of pre-release controversy.
