It's very enjoyable and fun animation series
amerulaidil29 December 2019
I found it very enjoyable to watch because they embrace the ridiculousness and craziness that they brought from the feature movie. Storyline little bit mediocre but I think it's okay for the kids to view it. The animation really looks breathtaking especially during the action sequence. The voice cast performance need a little bit improvement except for Manish Dayal performance as Shashi. Overall,it might not be adult oriented animation series but it's still know how to entertain the audience with their entertainment value.

More people need to give this a chance
JoviAero16 April 2020
I had a ton of fun with this and I want more people to see it so it can possibly get another season. From the moment I heard of the idea I thought it was stupid and expected to hate it, but I gave it a shot and ended up enjoying it a lot. Get past the rough first few minutes and it's a very fun action series with gorgeous animation. If you missed the racing the franchise has moved away from, this series finds a unique way to blend the racing of the original movies with the action of the newer ones. Some of the car chases and action scenes are actually quite tense and had me leaning forward in my seat in anticipation of what would happen next. It's definitely not a perfect series, but it's made for a younger audience and you have to expect a bit more cheese. The dialogue can be painful sometimes and some of the humour falls flat, but I actually enjoyed a lot of the other humour and most of characters are interesting, besides the dumb comic relief mechanic. They even make you sympathetic towards the villains and give some of the characters a grey area in their allegiances, where a lot of cartoon shows like this would just make it more black and white. One thing that bothered me is that the main character is Dominic Toretto's cousin, and they do not let you forget it even for a second. They name drop Dom at least twice an episode and it's like "we get it, enough!" The episodes are short and there's only 8 of them so far, so if you're looking for something to do or something new to watch I honestly think that if you like the movies you'll enjoy this, and even if you don't it might be a fun distraction. Don't watch the trailers, they're what made me so reluctant and they don't capture the spirit of the show at all. Just give this a shot and you might enjoy it more than you expected to like I did.

A flawed but entertaining show.
princen-8971926 February 2022
This show deserves a lot more credit than it is given. The animation is pretty good, and the developers do a good job of keeping you on the edge of your seats and being curious about what will happen next. Each season takes part in a different location, making this more interesting. The main characters are given charisma, and I love each of them, and I would love to know more about them. Well except for Cisco, who is the super overdone "comic relief", when he is not funny,....at all. He ruined the show for me, I did not laugh at a single "joke" from him, if you can call them "jokes". I have to take away three stars beause of him. This brings up the dialogue, which can be quite cringe and irrating. But besides that, if you want to turn your brain off and enjoy some good action, I would recommend that you give this a shot. I am speaking as an adult, and I can say with complete certainty that this show can be enjoyable regardless of your age. Just don't expect the dialogue to be good as other Netflix shows like Trollhunters was.

ONLY for kids...& sometime its NOT. but its definitely not for adults or teenagers
avir-mds24 April 2020
Okay , let me put this way. The name of this show F&F is not popular among the targeted audience. First, there'll be a lot of people just checking this show only because they are familiar with the name. But sadly its not for them. IT'S NOT FOR ANY PEOPLE WHO ARE familiar with the title of this series. this show is childish ,very very much. yet whenever you're going to let them enjoy the show , they're going ask so many question. and then they lost the attraction towards it. Honestly its utterly and seemingly confused for the kids. I've couple of kids on the house, and none of 'em actually liked the show.

An insult to Fast and Furious!
frannbeg28 January 2020
Terrible! Should have never been made! I watched the first episode and it was over in the few minutes. They should focus on the movies and not stupid anime.

Fun!
vcaja0630 December 2019
My 8yr old daughter asked to watch this. So we sat down together to watch the first episode. We were both hooked. It's family friendly, no cursing, clean jokes, and action packed. We wound up watching all 8 episodes in just a few days. We look forward to season 2.

Wow I wasn't expecting that
ThunderKing626 August 2021
This show is actually pretty good. More entertaining then those overdone live action fast furious movies.

The show feels smart and childish. It's impossible to find a show nowadays that is smart. The characters and stories are cliché as always but the producers make it work well. The animation is beautiful for a 3d tv cartoon.

Another fault is an ugly worthless dog appears on this show. They will lose 3 stars for that.

Last Words: good show minus the worthless dog.

What are they thinking?
jaywes-5108626 December 2019
It's ok for young kids, but at least Vin Diesel uses his real vice for his character! But I couldn't finish the first episode! Could be better!

Meh
spazmotica13 February 2020
My 5 year old liked the first episode but I think that's because the animation is very similar to Paw Patrol. It didn't hold my attention but at 34 I'm not the target demographic.

It's bad, even by kids show standards
calvinharris_fan17 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This Netflix Original really doesn't work at all. I can't see anything worthwhile that would grab anyone's attention when watching this because everything from the animation, writing and character interactions just falls apart. It just feels really kiddy which I understand is the target audience but why base a kids series on an adult movie franchise that has elements that this show is too afraid to show?

So, the story is pretty straight forward; bunch of kids are undercover operatives infiltrating a criminal gang set on controlling the world. On the surface, the story is okay but as the plot moves along each episode, your eyes will roll as you realise that half of the stupid decisions these characters take are just there to keep the story rolling. At some point, you learn the backstory of the main villain and is seeking revenge but then after that, he acts like a complete idiot as opposed to his slight cool persona.

The animation is subpar at best. There were maybe two or three shots that were alright but the rest just felt cheaply placed and amateurish. The character dialogue was really really cringy and each person basically played up a stereotype where it treats the audience like they were dumb.

Just watch Carmen Sandiego instead. It's more engaging than whatever this show tried so hard to be.

The Fast Breakfast Universe
Corporal_Dwayne_Hicks1 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Universal Studios once said we making spin offs with your favourite heroes! Well after ten feature flims worth billions in there pockets they couldn't mess this one up this. When Netflix announced the Fast and Furious anime series back in 2018 oh hot dang. Then we see the first official summary and pictures oh cold dang....

This isn't quite the anime series I was hoping for at least in 2020 terms to be so watered down. Introducing new characters big oh no already afterall Tony is Dom cousin he whoself makes out to be a big player in the street racing scene. Tony gets beaten by his rival Mitch in the beginning. Out steps Vin Diesel in a glory cameo explaining to his family that gut instinct always wins!

Okay our new cast go from imperfect to perfect within the first episode displaying there overhyped talents. Just like Brian O'Conner and Sean Boswell they all make through adapting with there skills to fit in there new Spy world. We got Mrs Nowhere who like Kurt Russell counterpart Mr Nobody. This was abit missed opportunity here not to have Goldie Hawn voicing eh Vin?

If only the second season just featured Lucas Black and Eva Mendes I would be hyped. Universal and Netflix knows we all would prefer to watch past established flim characters in anime form like right now today.

This is what we are given instead for 2020 if you been F&F fan since 2001 you will feel cheated here. Watch during your breakfast, dinner and teatime.

This can be better.
blackghosthunterzero28 December 2019
This show had the potential to be one of the best part of fast & furious franchise but they really need to do a better job for the story part, i mean the graphics are dope, the music is right, only problem is lack of depth in story, if's a fairly a cheap copy of the movies, i watched the entire season, the show won't survive this way. i really like this show. don't blow it up.

It's fine. I just don't get...
ilpo-surokivi19 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
...who this is actually aimed at. The movies are pg-13 so I guess they made a kids show for teenagers. Instead of bullets we got paintballs. Watching as an adult mostly because I liked the movies the action sometimes seems hilarious since in kids shows they can't use bullets and no one is allowed to die. Yeah, a dangerous race in a kid's show with the main character being a Toretto. Yeah, he has basically unlimited plot armor.

A kids show...
0w029 December 2019
It's incredibly unrealistic, and 100% geared towards children. I watched it and was constantly triggered by how unrealistic the show is... I mean, it's literal children that drive hyper-cars and jump cars from boats onto other boats like 100meters away... it's just crazy unrealistic, but I guess children won't be bothered by that, but I most certainly WAS bothered by it as an adult.

Nothing here for adults
TheTruthofItIs21 August 2021
"Fast & Furious Spy Racers" (S01, 8 eps, 25-mins, Netflix) is for tweens, not adults. The animation is really good but the characters, their dialogue, and their situations are written for tweens that'll go "wow!" while we adults will eye-roll. And Dom's character is a hyper-idolized characterization which I guess you get to do when you're Vin Diesel as an EP for the series. He's basically written as a super-hero type. And forget about plausibility, every chance situation goes in their favor, they perform technical feats as if they're adult experts, etc etc, but I suppose kids'll eat it up, however I'm rating this as an adult. Kids and their parents will rate it high, though.

The only black main characters voice is insulting. There are enough black American actors to choose from, why make this character sound like Eddie Murphy in Norbit. Every other characters voice is appropriate and realistic.

This is horrible on so many levels
Micke_Eriksson12 December 2020
First off, it's a rip-off from the first movie, story-wise, only that instead of a Brian-character, it's Tony (I can't recall any reference to a cousin in the past installments) who gets drafted by Dom (Which looks horribly animated btw!), then (Only got as far as to Ep 2½ then I said out loud to myself: "Ok, that's it - Bye bye!", and I'm Swedish, to be kept in mind!), there's the rip-off when he suggests that there were something more than just the race, and he wanted in on it, the score...

Leading up to that point, it's filled with ridiculous action, and these are kids we're talking about. Granted, backed by the government, but no agency, in their right mind would ever give a bunch of kids a fully loaded (with tech, spy-stuff etc) trailer. Besides, that lady Nowhere one can't take serious due to her unintentional jokes, or rather comments she spouts out here and there. Had this been a cartoon made around the first movie I wouldn't thought much of it, but this crazy ass tech-overkill has got to stop!

Don't get me wrong - The movies are great, only that they're stepping up the norm for each installment, pushing the boundaries even further, which in turn makes the other movies lame by comparison. By that I mean the impossible stunts, that one in a trillion shot of that level of precision to land juuuust right (and succeed) .

Now, toss in this show, years after, and these kids are at the same level - Ridiculous! Tony couldn't even win a simple race in the beginning, and his companions - A tech-guy, not unlike Tej, but way girlie (Took a while to figure that out at the beginning!), a muscles guy apparently with the intelligence of a cannoli, and not the bronze either, that went to the girl Echo with the colored hair.

They've maxed this show out from the get-go. Don't think I'll be watching this no more. Read that season 2 was worse, so... I can imagine.

Preteens to teenagers might enjoy this show, because they don't know better, but trust me - They will.

I prefer movies and series that can keep it somewhat real, like old style James Bond movies where they had tech better than what existed at the time. To put that in perspective - Compare the latest with Brosnan where the CGI goes full blares and whistles, with the Sean Connery ones!

Same with many movies today, they up the ante all the time, needlessly too. It's important to keep at least one foot grounded i my opinion. You don't just bend the laws of physics without anything to show for it.

devilsride28 December 2019
You think about it they made it for younger viewers but they also made it to where it's got aspects of the family and everything like the actual movies I give it a 10 you definitely earned it because I actually like it and I'm a 23 year old man

Hoo boy...
ivo_shandor17 October 2020
People are giving this 10/10 cause I guess they're drinking the cool aid. I guess no one has standards for animation anymore. Dreamworks' latest product it barfed out with the help of Universal patting its back. Just like Camp Jurassic, this is a bunch of adults with no concept of writing teenagers looks like; pure cringe embarrassment. Every time a character speaks, it's like nails on a chalk board, and I want all of these teenagers to die in a fiery car crash; is that too much to ask? It's weird that adults are watching this show and defending it, just like they did with Camp Jurassic, cause I would've thought adults were smarter than that. I guess not. Only adults defend this show, and only adults watch it, cause I guess they have nothing else in their lives right now. If you people are thinking this is as good as any Pixar movie, don't bother writing reviews, cause I think you need at least some basic knowledge of film to know that this is terrible; also a dunctioning brain stem.
