I already knew.

Warning: Spoilers
I can see how the ending could and may have caught some people off guard. Personally, I already knew that Swamp Thing is a plant who was imbued with Alec's consciousness and memories before the show even premiered and I started watching it. Therefore, I wasn't surprised at all. At least we now know the meaning to the poster of Swamp Thing holding a skeleton even though it didn't seem like it had an apparent meaning or meaning at all.

10 out of 10, a perfect episode

"The Anatomy Lesson" is an episode I'd been looking forward to with equal parts anticipation and trepidation. It was judged by DC editors in 1984 as one of the ton ten stories of the year, and Alan Moore's first really huge step towards super-stardom in the comic scripting world. With the changes the series has made to his original story arcs, I was worried this would be a big let down, just because of how unique the comic was, especially with the framing narrative of Woodrue remembering it all happening exclusively in his memory.

But this episode, though with a lot of changes, still captured well the huge turning point in the story of the Swamp Thing, where a new type of Swamp Thing fully emerged, and a lot of long and lingering storylines wrapped up while simultaneously opening up new ones. What a pity the show got cancelled, it is just getting better and better with each episode.

WHAT A TRUE EPISODE..!! This episode was all I wanted in the show. It was seriously intense from the beginning.. Jason Woodrue and Avery transfers Alec to a facility where Woodrue experiments on Alec's body. And believe me when I say that that was a hard part to watch.. The pain Alec was going through this episode was hard and I felt it.

Maria gets trolled by Avery in the best way possible. And the trump card of this episode was the Blue Devil.. YES! They finally show us the Blue Devil and hell he was crazy man!!! And also Phantom Stranger was there too.

All in all a great episode. I feel sad, finally when the series is getting to a great storyline.. it's ending alongside. And still we haven't had any news related the 2nd season. I wish it renews for another season soon.

Devil in the house.

Warning: Spoilers
Yes this was a major episode and a lot more interesting things it unfolded. Alec is dead😦 and the Swamp Thing is only a Thing with memories and feelings of Alec. This was really a massive turn. The thing that was thought to be Alec from 2nd to 8th episode is not Alec. And now Devil is also a part of this all.

Monstro do Pântano (2019)

Series

1st Season

Episode Nine - The Anatomy Lesson

The only certainty I have with this series is that everyone will die at some point and if by chance they have a degree of importance in the plots, they will come back to life.

I did a little research on this character and was surprised that there is a team of plants at DC and also a group of meat, I didn't know anything about that, as incredible as it appears, I would find it interesting, at some point in the film or series, portraying these teams seems to be cool if done well.

The next episode will be the last and as much as I don't like it, I'll be able to marathon these ten episodes in one day.

Episode nine of the first season of the Monstro do Pântano Miniseries watched on May 18, 2024.

Rating: 2/10.
