The hockey mask worn by Bouncer resembling a duck mask has a slight reference to the ones worn in the film The Mighty Ducks (1992), it's sequels and the "Disney Afternoon" TV series that's loosely based on that film.
In the original series, Fenton Crackshell lived in a trailer with his soap opera-addicted mother whom he referred to as "Mama" (pronounced Muh-Maw) and who never left the house. In this new series, Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera lives in an apartment with his mother, who he refers to as "Mama," but this time she is a police detective. She does seem to love telenovelas (Spanish language soap operas).
The plot of everyone trying to figure out who GizmoDuck really is, more particularly one of GizmoDuck's Enemies, was also used in the episode "Case of Mistaken Secret Identity" in the Original DuckTales (1987).
The way Beaks bonds with the GizmoSuit parodies the transformation sequence used in Sailor Moon (1995).
First time in the DuckTales (2017) Reboot where Beaks shows real signs of villainry, previous appearances made it seem like he'd been a Neutral Character.
