This is close to perfection

I've been looking for a series that comes close to Bosch - I think I found it.

I have to admit, the second season of The Sinner was not as good as the first. I was going through the episodes and reached this one. It felt strange because the conclusion seemed to come early and I was disappointed, right until the end.

The last scene actually managed to freak me out. I mean I don't freak out, but by god this thing near damn gave me a heart attack, and I love it for doing so.

This episode has gone a long way in cementing The Sinner's greatness.

Vera Comes Clean While Harry Digs
Hitchcoc7 August 2023
This is a very good episode. The symbolism of Vera losing the upper hand as Harry threatens to expose her. He stands while she sits. The story is a remarkable one where a single man manages to play a group of down and out people and get their implicit trust. Very much like the Manson gang. It is soon revealed that a young woman died because she didn't follow that jerk's wishes. He is in the wind. Or is he? Harry discovers photos put together by a private detective, hired to follow him. He confronts the big man and has him by the short hairs. For now, Harry only asks that Julian's sentence gets reduced and he be put back in foster care. But the end of the episode has some stark implications.

No I'm guessing not. What a nosedive from the first season. 2 more eps of torture. Only watching for Pullman but what a slog.......

No thank you

Warning: Spoilers
Don't care at all about Julian or Heather, poor characters and poor acting. Tracy Letts is a bad guy, the beacon is in the hoodie (probably not real). More Carrie Coon please.
