Everything good about Boy Bandz
sambuczeksmith26 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This is one of my favorite episodes because of each of the small music video-esq sections where Tinas imagination really goes wild. Expanding on Tinas boy craziness is fantastic. I love that Tina is an example of a teenage girl who is allowed to, and not looked down on for loving boys and boy bands so much! Tina does go a bit far into the boy craziness land, but that is part of growing up and I love that her family is always really supportive of her.

TLDR; The songs are fun and catchy, Tina is a feminist icon, and Boy Bands are really cool

fantastic start to a new season

Another great Tina episode, the songs are a charming glimpse into the puberty riddled brain of a teenage girl, and the B plot was pretty funny.

Great start to a new season!

First of all, this a musical episode. I've seen several folks whining about that, but the songs on Bob's Burgers are always so great I don't mind at all. Several Broadway stars guest on this episode, and it's fun to see Tina's imagination at work again.

Tina is great!

The episode is a wonderful return to Tina's imagination regarding her love of boys. The songs are creative and feature several different styles, really well done. Such a great opener to the season.

Near perfect

Definitely one of the best episodes. The songs are hilarious and the only that would've had made it better is if gene was the new member of Boyz 4 Now

A Nice Musical Episode
AnimatedCritic4 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Most bad reviews here is just from people who don't like musicals. Well if that's the case, this isn't for you, and otherwise, it was a good episode. I thought the episode was more creative with the songs, taking Tina on one love journey to the next. I thought it was hilarious that Tina fell in love with boys over and over, but and some point it felt overused. The baby rat plot was funny at times, but nothing really exciting. A great musical episode, and a good Bob's Burgers episode.

Boring and too much singing
youngnoble2 October 2018
I love Bob's Burgers and I love their one off songs here and there, but it seems like every other scene was singing. This was a Tina episode, so I'm also a little bias because I'm not a fan of most of Tina's episodes.

The most Central Park-like episode of Bob's Burgers and I love it.
adampkalb31 October 2021
It was a very good character study of Tina Belcher's weird obsession with every boy she meets. I have a slightly similar experience with girls; I have met many girls I loved over my time in grade school; but I can't settle for just one because we don't stay together for long. Tina and I may not be polyamorous, but we both have a quiet obsession with butts and we both learned it is OK to fall in love as many times as we like. The subplot of Bob hiding Teddy's rat from Hugo was very humorous, but it was the least of this episode. I was super excited to watch it again after I learned that Josh Gad, Rory O'Malley, Daveed Diggs and Andrew Rannells voiced the boys whom Tina imagined singing songs for her. I think the Season 9 premiere of Bob's Burgers accidentally gave Loren Bouchard and Nora Smith the idea for Central Park, because watching it in 2021 is a very different experience from watching it when it first aired in 2018, which I did not do. Now all I hear when Damon, the gum boy, Chad, Jesse and Hayden sing are boys who sound like Birdie, Elwood, Helen, and Griffin. Since they were all auditioning to replace Boo Boo in the boy band, it makes perfect sense that each of their actors would also be good singers for when Tina imagines them singing. What is even funnier is that Birdie and Griffin's conflict in Rival Busker, is very reminiscent of something else that happens during Hayden's song about space.

Excellent!
Wistfull22 March 2022
In general I despise musicals - there's something about them that makes my skin crawl. The only show I've seen that can insert a song without it feeling disjointed is Bob's Burgers. Even an episode with as many songs as this one still works!

The theme of being boycrazy and embracing it feels very "of the moment" - polyamory has been mentioned more and more often in the mainstream, so it only makes sense that there would be a cartoon anthem that goes "the right number of boys for you is more, forever". I love it!

The B-story of a baby rat is also a riot! This is overall a memorable, entertaining episode.

No, yeah, no

So tired of the of the Tina episodes. Especially, Tina musical episodes. Not funny, usually boring. This episode is no exception. Some critic said her character was good and now they won't stop with it. The fans like total family( mostly Louise and Bob) . If you check with most of them.

The worst.
bowlingfortobeh6 December 2020
Easily the worst episode of Bob's Burgers.

The songs are all over the place, and way too repetetive. All it is, is an episode explaining how Tina (the worst character) is so desperate she falls for any human or object she comes anywhere near.

Don't waste your time with this episode. The worst Tina episode, and that's saying something

Words cannot describe how bad this episode was. The main plot was terrible and just turned Tina into a selfish pervert. I actually did enjoy the side plot with the baby rat, but that's it.

Yep a very boring start
namikazedante7 October 2018
First off. Why do they need to do this Disney-crap? Singing all the time. This show used to be funny and crazy. It was a big risk to get my hopes up for season 9 because this show hasn't been funny or good in a long time.
