Point of Departure

Warning: Spoilers
The show delivered a solid episode here, but it is just a bit daunting to keep up with everyone and who is aligned with who.

They told us Emily 1984 and Emily today in the opening scene which wasn't needed. Maybe expand that to every scene? Kidding, but a little easier plot development couldn't hurt.

More and More; Less and Less

As the blood bath continues, we get a little closer to an understandable plot line. I'm wondering what is going to happen to Alpha Howard as he negotiates Echo. He tries to be the substantially kind man who has fallen into this pit, and that doesn't work well. As Yanek works him we see that almost no one has enlightened motives. I guess the question is, "If we had to choose between the two sides, who would we choose." I think the reason that would be a difficult question to answer is that both sides have a center of pure evil. This episode, nevertheless, is really quite good.

I don't know what my other has done.

The second season has really started going. I guess the family problems are put behind and we can now concentrate on the spy games. Clare, Quayle, and Prime Howard must unite against the common enemy. Emily Burton investigates her other, while Emily Silk makes some discoveries about her past. Alpha Howard is in the Echo and he must face his other's past deeds. He is also put under psychological tests to establish the point were two Howards's lives went on different paths. At last, we are taken to a path that finally must lead us to the origin story of the beginning of the two Worlds.

Again another fast-paced episode that leaves enough room to makes sense in all the confusion that the two first episodes might have raised.

This episode wasn't as terrible as others

Not quite re watchable.

It hit me that if they cut this from 20 episodes into 10 episodes, and basically jammed as much in, cut out the baloney, and sped up the pace...this series would be a lot better.

It also dawned on me...it isn't just the story...it's the execution of the story.

Different directors etc can make the seem story completely differently.

I'd love to know what another director would have done with this script/show etc.
