On this episode we talk with my old friend Jahphet Landis AKA Roofeeo. We met in 2008 when he was in a band called the Death Set and I was still called Hannibal Buress. He drums in the band TV on the Radio He also was the house DJ during my residency at Comedy at the Knitting Factory for a couple years and toured as my DJ for a while too. He brought his own musical toy to play with too. It's a goofy fun episode.

On this ep we talk with Tom Segura. He's a stand up comedian. We first met in Australia. We did a bunch of shows together with Moshe Kasher for two weeks and then went about our separate lives and I see him about once a year now but those two weeks were dope. We talk about podcasting, fatherhood, and theremining on this one. Enjoy.

We talked with Jermaine Fowler. He's a comedian and energetic person. I met this dude when he was 19 and now he has a baby. Life is crazy. I mean I guess he could've had a baby back then too but he didn't. You get what I mean. Don't be weird. I sent him 10,000 baby wipes because that type of stuff is really funny to me. Destroyed his whole storage situation. We get goofy and make some songs and talk about martial arts and Jermaine's twin brother. Check him out season 2 of Superior Donuts on CBS.

On this episode we talked with Mitski. She was in town for Red Bull's 30 days in Chicago. They put on a concert every night in November. We were supposed to release this episode to help promote the rest of the concerts a couple weeks ago but life happens. Sorry about that. Thanks for the money and the liquid energy during dark sleepy times. We had a fun chat with Mitski. She's a vagabond musician. She's lived all over. She likes autotune. It's a good show. My energy levels are dipping on this writeup. Should've been more descriptive. Ah well. Check out this show.

On this episode we talked with fellow Chicagoan K'Valentine. I met her in Denver while she was opening for Talib Kweli. We talk about how she got started crashing green rooms. I added some unnecessary theremin to her songs. We had a good talk. Her album "Here for a reason" is available everywhere. Check it out.

On this episode, we have the second appearance from our old college friend Open Mike Eagle. This episode was recorded in September after a Cubs loss to the Dodgers. You might've noticed that we have an erratic release schedule. We veer off into weird freestyle territory several times. It should be an interesting listen. Tony Trimm raps about snacks more than you think you needed but you do. Open Mike Eagle's album "Brick Body Kids Still DayDream" is awesome and available everywhere.

We recorded this episode in front of a live studio audience the same way Martin and other shows were. It was recorded in Nashville at Third Man Records in a room with blue lighting that made my jacket look really dope. Nate Bargatze and Kevin Bozeman joined us and we all talked until it felt like it was time to stop.

If you're a regular listener of the podcast you've probably noticed that we have an erratic release schedule. It's ok. Life is erratic. We've made our choices and the choice means that we don't have sponsors anymore A couple months ago we talked to the amazing Lizzo while we were in Los Angeles. She was really game for our nonsense. Marijuana products were involved in the vibe of this episode so you should have some before you listen if you want to match our level. We probably created six hit singles on accident. Check out Lizzo's music on all the streaming platforms and listen to her podcast "Good as Hell" on Spotify.

On this episode we talked with Sadie. She's the lead in the band Speedy Ortiz. I met her a couple years at SXSW when I tweeted out that I wanted to play drums in someone's band. They replied. I played drums to a song that I didn't know at all. It's a life highlight of mine. Speedy Ortiz released a new album called Twerp Verse in late April and we should've released this podcast around then but this is a rag-tag operation. This episode is a bit chiller and there's less freestyling but I still predict that it'll be a transformative experience for you.

It's Tag week and we have a new episode with the director of the movie Jeff Tomsic. We talk about the process of making Tag from start to finish. He called me the best actor of my generation but we edited it out. It was a fun fascinating talk for me. We recorded this the day before the premiere so the energy and nerves are alive in this episode. Tag is in theaters June 14th and 15th and 16th and 17th and others.

Another one. It's Tag week and we have an episode with Jake Johnson. He plays Chili in the movie. We complained about a bunch of stuff but I cut those parts out. Talking to Jake is fun because whatever he's talking about he sounds like he's really into it. I shot a movie with him for damn near 3 months and I found out he dropped out of high school for a year on this podcast. We here at the Handsome Rambler podcast are thrilled and honored to be a part of his continued upwards trajectory. Tag is in theaters now.

Another one. We have the man who inspired Tony Trimm to buy 20 skinny ties, Jon Hamm. We gave him the nickname Jon Jamm while he was on the podcast. It's not super creative but damn if it doesn't get the job done. He asked me for acting advice for 30 minutes but we edited that out. We talk about comedy, life, martial arts, street fights, and Jon Jamm gets on the theremin.
