Completely agree with previous reviews. Anyone remotely connected to the recovery world will be cringing at the banal commentary. It must also cause some embarrassment to the operatives portrayed in the series.

Please please get rid of that annoying idiot who thinks he sounds so dramatic but is a complete muppet. I'll watch this program with great interest and think it is so interesting except the voice over idiot that grants on your nerves, does he really think we need to listen to his exaggerated clap trap. Please get rid of him.
You would get far more viewers without that trash. How he ever got the job in the first place makes the mind boggle.you have to remove him if you want this brilliant program to continue and get viewers to watch it.

Irritating narration

An interesting and informative programme tha gives an insight into a world that most people are seldom exposed to, or rarely see. It is however spoiled by the irritating style and exaggerated content of the narrator. The inflection used varies in strange ways and instead of creating excitement it just comes across as weird. The use of overstated adjectives to generate a more powerful narrative instead results in a loss of credibility. I also question why sometimes the company logo on the breakdown trucks is blanked out, but not in others - is this a poor attempt at trying to engender authenticity.

Great subject matter with good people doing a difficult and sometimes dangerous job,BUT the voice over ruins it with doom and gloom comments, he is trying to make it more exciting but is totally overdone, the smallest thing could end in "COMPLETE DISASTER!!!" "POSSIBLE DEATH!!" "COLD BE A FIRE!!! And so on, the viewer isn't stupid! A more calm descriptive prose would still present the difficulties and dangers in a less "DRAMATIC!!" way.

The truck wouldn't have tipped over if you had left it for a month!
"It's in a ditch with no keys, it's a worst case scenario " really? So on fire, blocking a road, people trapped would be a better scenario? Been a truck driver since I was 21 and now run 12 trucks and it's making me cringe! Switching off!

Really irritating commentator

A good programme wrecked by incredibly irritating commentator who is getting worse as time goes on over exagerating everything like a kids programme does. The content is great, that operators skilled and capable but he really makes me cringe with his style. Who on earth thought he was right for the jo? I've watched some dreadful programmes and never felt so badly about the commentator. Is there any other channel with different voice over or even subtitles.....now there's an idea.....it's bad nenogh having to turn sound off but why spoil a really watchable programme with someone who thinks the slightest thing is going to end id disaster.

Trucking hell .. a great, watchable,interesting programme . Very informative and well presented, featuring hard working, skilled people doing a fantastic job totally ruined by the absurd, irritating, ridiculous, over the top, and stupid comments accompanied with a tone you might expect from a pre- school kids tv program ...slowly the narrator begins to get on your nerves, but is tolerable.. but slowly the more shows you watch the more he an distraction ... until it gets to a stage where you can't stand him any more !! An interesting enjoyable series.. scuppered by this narrative ...,,please please can we have a " normal " voice over on this programme? 😡

Pretty entertaining sometimes. Some of the workers are likable. But why oh bloody why do we have to have that annoying stupid and irritating over dramatic voice over. It ruined the who show, get rid of the idiot and have a more professional job done there please..

Way to much swearing. They can't even be bothered to put bleeps overs in . I used to enjoy this program even thought the voice over was a bit to dramatic with over enthusiastic danger warnings. The disgusting language and cursing is way too much. If the company's are happy for these people to be upfront in the view of the public and representing them then they can't have much. Broadcasting obscene content is prohibited by law at all times of the day. Indecent and profane content are prohibited on broadcast TV and radio between 6 a.m. And 10 p.m., when there is a reasonable risk that children may be in the audience.

Who writes the narrators script. Yes towing can be dangerous but come on, every job is built up like they are all going to die a horrible death, and its gotten worse every season. So great program to watch with the sound turned off. Please can we have a season without the narrator. I know its a similar story on all of these types of shows. But come on they are not going to get ran over, crushed, roll over and every thing in between all the time.
The actual towing, lifting and problem sorting is brilliant, but I bet even tow truck drivers cringe when they watch these programs. ................

I know the narrator is reading from a script but god he's boring as hell, whoever writes the script hasn't got a clue what he's on about talk about making a drama out of a crisis, the editor needs sacking as well, surely when you put clips together they should be in order, they show end clips at the beginning so you know the outcome and the rest is just mixed up, in some cases it's not even the same vehicle I can tell a four wheeler from a six wheeler from an eight wheeler.
Can anyone shade any light on what has happened to the original cast of recovery operators especially Rory as his one liners were classic.

Why, oh why, oh why, does the production team have to use that sing song, irritating voiceover by Kieran O'Brien?
It has simply ruined a good series and as a previous reviewer has stated, I now watch with the sound off.
This Kieran o'Brien maybe thinks he's doing a fantastic job with the up and down modulation and intonation of his stupid voice but he absolutely spoils every single programme he narrates and I just wish you would replace him with a tried and tested voiceover such as John Shrapnel for instance. Jamie Theakston is another recognised narrator who is easy to listen to.
People are switching off and I don't blame them.

Trucking Hell is a really enjoyable programme all but totally ruined by the intrusion of overdramatic and often inaccurate commentary. This is a very interesting documentary series, not a village amateur dramatic performance where we perhaps expect and grudgingly accept over ambitious overactors trying too hard to make a name for themselves.
The strident commentary on this production only serves to distract and irritate, taking ones attention from the interesting content.
Sadly, because of this, l'll probably not watch Trucking Hell again
To be succinct, I can only agree with reviewer Tugwilson's comment "Get rid of him"
