The Title of the film is taken from a 1960 song from an Assamese film Lachit Borphukan (1961). Song was composed and written by Ashok Kumar Bishaya's father Khiradakanta Bishaya and perfumed by Dipali Borthakur. Song was also recreated in the film with Sangeeta Borthakur.
The film marks the debut of Zubeen Garg as a playback singer.

Bollywood playback singer Shaan's sister Sagarika Mukherjee (later known as Sagarika Mukherjee Da Costa) was also debuted the Assamese film as a playback singer, but her first Assamese song did not featured in the film and only appears in the CD soundtrack album as a Bonus Track. However, she sang few songs in the next Assamese film Morom Nodir Gabhoru Ghat (1999) along with her co-artists Sonu Nigam which was her first Assamese film as a playback singer.
