You're all wrong - he literally brought his own tiki torch

While this isn't the most dazzling episode of the show, the satire is perfect. Hard Right Jay is everything no one wants to see or hear. I particularly love the interactions with the skids and Jay. Classy satire, people.

Kinda Funny
jbricketts7 August 2023
It's pretty funny to me especially since the lefties are the actual nazis in the world today. Nazzies were rooted in socialism. Antifa are the only ones actually committing fascist acts. All the left does is try to shut down free speech and force people to their personal world view. It's funny going back and watching a show a few years old, yes just a few years, but in a few years a lot has happened to expose the left. I wonder if the makers of the show still think this holds up. It's best in my opinion that "entertainers" should probably stay out of politics and if they do dip their stick in that ink maybe critique both sides equally with humor and not some bs over-exagerrated characterization of their own personal beliefs. Still kinda funny to me, but lefties always make me laugh. Just hearing them talk is good for a chuckle.

Not my favorite episode. I hate the alt right as much as anyone, and was looking forward to Jay getting his just deserts. However, it was concerning that the writers made it a point to show that Jay and his followers wanted a peaceful protest, but they attacked them anyway. Where I come from, free speech includes tolerating groups you don't like, as long as they aren't inciting violence. In the end they managed to make the Letterkennians look worse than a gang alt-right losers. I was a little confused as to what point they were trying to make there.

(Why are so many characters required to post a review?)

Love the show, and love the butthurt white supremacists

Letterkenny is brilliant, and it makes fun of everyone and everything at one point or another. Bunch of Alt Right Jays are coming out of the woodwork to protest this episode because until now, they thought this show represented them.

Some of you need to grow up

Warning: Spoilers
Look, the show has made fun of everyone at some point. There was a whole bit about grievances based on identity politics on twitter and another bit about how annoying everyone from LA is.

If you're so offended by this episode, maybe look in the mirror and ask yourself why they are able to so easily come up with enough material to rip on you for a whole 21 minutes. I swear some of you are the biggest snowflakes on the planet, you're upset about a fictional TV show making you feel inadequate about your views. As Wayne would say, "pull your finger out of your ass."

As for the actual episode, I thought it was great. Jay Baruchel did a great job in his role as Hard Right Jay, and it was fitting that the Natives were behind the name change and the beat down of the skinheads.

Great episode, pretty satisfying. Nine stars because I wish there was less flapping gums and more punching nazis in the face.

My fave episode of all
littlecottages3 August 2019
I laughed harder at this episode than any so far of my new obsession show. Don't look at the negative reviews; it's fantastic with all kinds of subtlety in it. And it makes fun of everyone at one point or another. So what if there was one political show; isn't that a part of"every day life"? I think the overarching theme through it was that people take things (and themselves) waaaay too seriously.

Go For It

Loved every minute of this. Of course, it's just a show. It's not supposed to be political, eh? Everything is political in some respect. These retular characters are the salt of the earth. They are the true representatives of the rights for everyone.

The far right doesn't represent tradition--they represent the worst of human existence. We're all lucky that American soldiers, many of color, drove out these kinds of nothings who don't have anything positive to contribute.

It just had to get political :(
johnnybravoctk7 August 2021
5 seasons and not one thing political about the show. Just fun craziness. But that all ends with this episode. And going all in with an American alt right group in Letterkenny protesting? Huh!?

BEST EPISODE OF WHOLE SERIES!

I laughed so hard out loud that my neighbors had to wonder what was going on at my place. This episode was so so so well done- every little detail from the dark web fight to all the white nationalist slang and the ambivalence of everyone to the entire situation...I couldn't take it! Hahaha. Love the new Shamrockettes that are always fighting with each other in this season. I've watched this episode 4 times now in the past couple because because it was so on point for society today. Thank you Letterkenny staff & cast!

Best Episode of a Legendary Show

Takedown of the white supremacist clowns ferda! Jay Baruchel is hilarious as Hard Right Jay and the consolidated message delivered straight to the forehead of the alt-right is deeply satisfying.

Perfect... They really 'figure(d) it out'
shop-1683413 June 2020
It was a remarkable caricature of the hard right. It was also awesome that they didn't have a lantern on the characters being PC, they were just were naturally PC and confused by Hard Right Jay, then angry about his nonsense.

Jay Baruchel was amazing! One of my favorite comedic actors since "Man Seeking Woman"

I also liked how Wayne withdrew his baskets argument. Their conversations in general remind me if conversations my friends and I used to have.

Another notch for an amazing show. I love everything about it!

I had to fast forward through this episode because my iq was dropping too fast. Leave politics out of it, and keep it great.

Then this episode is for you.

Absolutely fantastic. Especially Tanis at the end.

Tanis: Alright, enough chin-wagging. Ain't nothing peaceful gonna happen here today.

Hard Right Jay: We don't practice violence- Tanis: We do.

Love the show and always will, but this episode and the one before with Hard Righ Jay are just not the Letterkenny style. Letterkenny is a show I know that a lot of ppl absolutely love! But nothing is ever broken up a party more than politics

Besides the Hard Jay episodes. LOVE this show!

Rural Ontario is not a place for the "alt-right" or any type of real 'murica political views. It is a place for honest people who have opinions and ideas that are actually worth something and topical to the region. I can't think of anything less rural Ontario than Seth Rogan's weed bro talking like his dad just lost 5% of the stake in his big tobacco shares, even if it was trying to be ironic. If it wasn't for the reference to the tragically hip in the next episode, I would have been out... But they won me over again with more of what they had originally won me over on. Kudos to not selling out completely. I love the show, but this episode is absolute garbage. Figure it out!

This is a show that doesn't need politics to stay relevant. I did enjoy the fight scene though. But I'm still not sure why they brought in Jay Baruchel, other than he's Canadian.

You're not breaking any new ground by saying "The Alt-Right is bad", and that's just about all this episode had to say. Most of it felt awkwardly paced and out of character for this show, although there were some great jokes sprinkled in. Not really worth the watch imo.
