Things are picking up. Anne Reid is wonderful. so well cast! This episode really set many things in motion as the plots thicken. Loved the scene between Esther and Lord Babbington, the scenery, too. What a gorgeous place, wow! One has hopes that Esther will grow some through all these manipulations, she's smart enough, and perhaps vulnerable enough to come through, but she could go the other way. She's interesting to watch. The dynamic between Charlotte and Sydney continues to vacillate between the poles. Is Tom finally going to face his financial mismanagement? Is he going to grow up? Will his big dreams blow up or come to earth? This show is getting better.

Sanditon is such an enjoyable show, and this episode is the best one yet! We get to see more of everyone's personality, especially Esther and Sydney. Everyone's performance is nuanced, and shows how complex each of these personalities are. Even the unlikable characters have some good qualities.
The costumes are very well created, especially the cricket outfits. The scenery, styling, and all the beach landscapes are a pleasure to watch.
It seems Tom might have hit his bottom, and can't keep running away from his financial problems. Very interested to see what happens next!

My favourite episode so far absolutely loved this episode it was amazing from start to end really enjoyed the cricket match and seeing more Babington and Esther. But seeing Sidney and Charlotte playing together was by far the best part of the episode. Bring on season 2!
