Wow, two episodes in a row that feel like the early seasons. Stewie and Brian get shrunk and try to survive in a funny and different-than-usual episode.

Whatever the writers did in this episode they need to keep on doing.

Family guy is honestly not the same as it used to be, an obvious statement, i know, but there is an occasional episode where the charm of seasons 1 through 5 are brought back. This episode has a consistent story line with much less filler than recent episodes, sticking to a creative use of animation and a more interesting storyline than most other episodes. If the creators of this show want their creation to live up to its spirit, episodes like this are the way to go.

Warning: Spoilers
An inventive episode and one that really went all out on the microscopic premise, but there were more jokes that didn't land than those that did.
And stop pulling the Patrick Stewart card. You have done that too many times Family Guy. He is a regular voice on American Dad, so it is not "shocking" to hear him on Family Guy anymore.
