The final battle between Kai and Alec felt very underwhelming, and the rest of the episode afterward felt out of place. A few minutes in, I thought maybe it was all an illusion designed by walking into whatever that portal was, consisting of Kai's hopes or whatever. I'm still not convinced that my theory is incorrect. I will have to wait and see in the second season, which I hope will happen.

Rushed finale.
Kill off all the actors who haven't signed for a second series.
Remove all the WUs by just looking at the human portals, without any ritual Whatever happened to the GU and the complicated ritual involving spider, frog, scorpion, snake?
Why murder the 500 year old guy who was no longer a threat? He had fulfilled his 500 year old dream and had no Wu, for goodness' sake?
I thoroughly enjoyed the first 8 episodes, the 9th was way over the top but the finale is just plain stupid. By the way, how did Kay return to 21st century San Francisco after murdering Alec in 16th Century Scotland?

I tried so hard but couldn't get into the show at all and the finale really left me feeling nothing. A very mediocre story that ends on an even more mediocre note. And I agree dude waited 500 years and got stiffed LMaO.
